Asda Mobile texting problems with 07909 numbers

Hi,

Is anyone on Asda PAYG with a 07909 number who can't text or receive texts?

Asda Mobile say they are aware of the problem and looking into it, not sure when it will be sorted they say.

I know they use Vodafone as a partner, I know you can ask Vodafone to bar incoming texts so it maybe something to do with this. It just affects 07909 numbers and a new sim won't solve the problem.

I don't send many texts so it's not really a problem for me, I've just advised people I can't receive or send texts for the time being.

Maybe this is the reason mine is working,as mine starts as 079 86

Mine is a ported number that started life as a Virgin number but it as been through VM,02 and now Asda .

It just affects 07909 numbers, I'm porting in from 02 on Tuesday but will still affect the text problem until it is sorted.
