02) The Cybermen (various episodes)
06) Dalek: The Lone Dalek (various)
07) School Reunion: Mr. Finch (Anthony Stewart Head)
11) The Sound Of Drums / Last Of The Timelords: Harold Saxon / The Master (John Simm)
12) Midnight: The possessed Sky Silvestry (Lesley Sharp)

I would have Donna killed as she out of the 4 was so desperate to travel with the Doctor and therefore with the exception of Rose would be the most dramatic. SJ can't be killed because of the SJA, Martha is the worst out of the 4 but her death would have little impact and Rose would in effect have fully left 4 years earlier so would her death have an impact. Also though not story based as a companion (discounting SJ) Donna is the oldest and would she work with Matt Smith?

I've actually been voting against myself in the prediction game for some time now, but I always think of what I think will actually be in the top 10 (my predictions) as different from what I'd want to be in the top 10 (characters/races I'm not voting against).

Old:
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes)

11) The Sound Of Drums / Last Of The Timelords: Harold Saxon / The Master (John Simm)

13) The Stolen Earth / Journey's End: Davros (Julian Bleach)

05) The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances - The Tula Zombies

New:
07) School Reunion: Mr. Finch (Anthony Stewart Head) - loved this villain, but at this point I have to vote against ones I loved!

The 2005+ version of Who has been excellent at creating companions I love for different reasons. If Sarah Jane were up against Old Who companions, I would be all, "Bye bye, Sarah Jane!" because Leela was and is my absolute, uncontested favorite among them. However, Sarah Jane is way awesome as an older, adventurous woman and I look forward to the SJA every year and I would be sad if they ended.

Now, as for Rose, Martha, and Donna... during each of their seasons I adored each of them. I was very excited for Rose's return, but Martha's visits were clunky and cheesy somehow, and caused what I loved about Martha in series 3 to fade a bit. I think each of them had their annoying points, but that was part of them as well-rounded characters. Rose's love for the Doctor, her smugness with Ten, and Martha's crush on the Doctor could be annoying, but these types of interactions happen in real life and they're annoying, but still a part of life. Donna's yelling was annoying, but we came to see that her yelling at the world was her way of trying to change things, break through the disappointments of life.

Martha's death would have the least impact, I think, because her character has been ill-served by her return visits in Torchwood and DW and unless the team behind the show and Freema are able to recapture the true glow of Martha, having her die for the Doctor would not do what it was supposed to do.

Rose is off with 10.2 and I can't really see her dying for Eleven. Plus, even though I was excited by the season-long buildup to her return in series 4 and I'm a Rose fangirl, even I would feel a deadening of my heart if she returned for yet another cataclysmic event (a la the Daleks).

I think Donna's death would be heartwrenching and have a gigantic impact because of her close friendship with the Doctor and her nature to do what needs to be done to save the universe. Just the thought of her never coming back brings me to tears, though!

Its so cool to have my name in lights.........but t will probably the last time knowing my luck and also, probably the last time my name will be on the top end of the prediction game after looking at some of the votes

Anyway from last time....

The Cybermen (various episodes)
03) The Ood (various episodes)

New ones....this is getting so hard now.....

01) The Daleks (various episodes) Still love them.....and its nice to see that they have survived so long despite the comments we tend to see of people saying that they are bored of them
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes)...he yurned out to be a good Dalek in the end.....even if still a little crazy
06) Dalek: The Lone Dalek (various)....poor little Dalek

As for the question.....well I want to say Rose, just because even now some feel that her story hasn't ended.....so if she dies.....that will be the end of that...sorry cruel I know
But if it was for a heartbreaking scenario......then only Donna's death could do that for me.....although I would have preferd her to die in series 4 then to be without her wonderful memories
Martha has too much to live for.....so wouldn't want her to die....but if she did I think I would still be sad, as much as I would for Rose, but not as much as for Donna....
SJS, she has a 14 year old son....nuff said

*Does little dance of success*

*Prepares to fail badly this round.*

01) The Daleks (various episodes)
02) The Cybermen (various episodes)
03) The Ood (various episodes)
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes)
07) School Reunion: Mr. Finch (Anthony Stewart Head)

This is harder than ever I think now, hopefully less to pick next round!

“The companion is DEAD FOR GOOD AND CANNOT BE BROUGHT BACK.

Steven wants to know:- which one will lie dead as the silent credits roll?”

That's a horrid question to think about.

First I thought "For emotional impact, it has to be Rose" - but then I thought 2 years ago that would probably have been true, but now it really would have more immediate effect if it were Donna. Rose did just become too smug, her initial enjoyment of it all changed to her seeing herself as untouchable, immortal. Donna never had that, she was impacted on an emotional level by everything that she saw and her arc in one season was bigger than Roses in 4, emotionally.

(Martha to me was never in it, much as I liked her, she was a good mix between Rose and Donna - but one that never quite 100% worked imo - her being killed would have less impact on me)

So, Donna it is - but please don't!

Missed a few rounds cos I've been away. Can't believe there's only 13 choices left!!

So:

02) The Cybermen (various episodes)
04) Dalek Caan (various episodes)
06) Dalek: The Lone Dalek (various)
07) School Reunion: Mr. Finch (Anthony Stewart Head)
12) Midnight: The possessed Sky Silvestry (Lesley Sharp)

That was mega hard.

Thanks RK

I'm not sure I like playing the predictions game any more, it has a real impact on how I vote

Anyway... My new 2 are:

01) The Daleks (various episodes)
07) School Reunion: Mr. Finch (Anthony Stewart Head)

But I'm not happy about it

Thanks for the reply RK I just had memories of a period where we voted for 3 and 2 went last time round as opposed to 3 straight down to 1 - was just trying to not have to choose any more
