I'm using a Tesco SIM in an O2 phone. No unlocking was needed.

The only true way of finding out is to try it. It might work in some cases and not others, dependant on which locks have been applied. For instance - I bet if you put a Tesco SIM into an iPhone it wouldn't work!

Im about 99% certain it will. I think the iphone is the only exception, as far as i was aware, iphones need their own unique sim card. Importantly, it will not work the other way around.

Yes if you have a 02 Nokia 5800 or on Vodafone's they are unlocked as I have tried an 02 sim in both types, and it works fine, but a 02 sim won't work in a Tesco mobile.

Cheers - I heard it only worked one way round - just wasn't sure which way it was

Using an Iphone on Tesco would be insanity. They charge 4 quid a megabyte for data, with no bolt ons available!!

Otherwise, a good network...
