3480-refusing to load discs
My 3480 was working fine upto yesterday. Just switched it on and found it won't read any discs whatsoever, just says 'no disc'. Won't read anything, discs I've recorded on it,commercial dvds, cds, nothing, just get 'no disc'. Tried rebooting at the mains but no effect. Tried loading a lens cleaner disc but it won't read that either. What gives?

How long you had it ? Take it back to shop, mine lasted just over 13months, got a 5980 now and is brilliant plays everything I put in except dvd-ram.

Had it over a year, can't find what I did with receipt of course. I've got some discs that I'm halfway through recording,or finished recording but haven't finalised yet,I should be able to load those onto another recorder to access what's on 'em,yes?

Suddenly its started working again! Still weird that it did that though, especially when there was no obvious reason. Oh well I'll just keep an eye on it and hope it doesn't do it again.
