Been away for the weekend, and came home today to find the hamster had died. He was 18 months old, so it wasnt totally unexpected, but im still gonna miss the little guy.

I have a question I dont know if anyone can answer. He was a ginger syrian, so his fur was quite see through and I could see his pink skin. I've just been and buried him in the garden (didnt want to leave it any longer in this heat) and on his belly, under his skin looked all black, like his insides I mean. All along under his tummy. Does anyone know why he would have gone this colour, I have had lots and lots of hamsters over the years, but never noticed this before.

Any idea what this might have been?
