Someone like Nikki would be a complete nightmare on SCD,talk about "throw toy's out of the pram".........you imagine her having to concentrate and train as the celeb's have to do and not moan about it ??

I think if SCD goes down this type of "celeb" route ( which is only her connection with BB) it cheapens the whole SCD brand.

Which is why they wouldn't do it what's always made Strictly a cut above is it doesn't take people famous for being famous (well apart from Mrs Rodders but even she had a bit of class and as a former model and photographer actually had a job that didn't involve reality tv) - she's only expressed an interest so it doesn't mean she's doing it - thank God - DOI might take though as they have been known to have former reality tv stars i.e Gareth Gates.

and what about Rebecca Addlington.. wasnt she mentioned as quite a serious possibility earlier in the year (and she did appear several times in the audience last year... so maybe thats a hint)... (any big swimming events in the Strictly period?!)

if she did it then surely she would be partnered with Ian as she is quite tall.
I think she also said that she'd have to wait until2012 was over and done with

On no corcumstances lumber Erin with Richard Madley- she stand no chance of winning

He'd have to be with either Hayley or Erin, unless the new female pro is tall. Of the two, Erin had a better partner last year, so technically that makes it Hayley's "turn" for someone decent... although personally would stick Richard with Hayley and get rid of them both as quickly as possible!

Richard is 6ft 2- Hayley is 5ft 8- Erin is 5ft 6.

Realistically Richard will have to go with Hayley

According to Erin she is 5ft 9:
It wasn’t until later, after splitting up with my dance partner that I started looking for a new one and Anton was top of my list. He was the right age, look, and at 6ft tall, the perfect height, as I’m 5ft 9.
http://www.thegreenmag.co.uk/profile...ingston--71340

I don't really see that she couldn't be with Richard, since she also danced with Peter Schmeichel- 6ft4.

I also think last year the pairings were quite odd, with
Camilla 5ft9 - Tom 6ft
Ola 5ft3 - Andrew 6ft3
I don't think they just pair them up in height order and that's it... in fact last year I wondered if they purposely handicapped Andrew by partnering him with someone so short, just so they could continue poking fun at GMTV

Surely they aren't considering Chris Moyles? How absolutely terrible - he is dreadful.

I don't think he has the build for it, but I saw him do celebrity X Factor and he took it very seriously, so I reckon he'd be ok for a few weeks. No chance of winning of course!

Actually when I think of it I could see him being paired with Lilia because of his sense of humour. Although I personally hope she gets someone a bit better than that after having Dom and then Don!

Don Warrington was a bit robbed in fairness - he was a pretty good ballroom dancer and his AS was better than Andrew Castle and Mark Foster's and the Sarge's sambas - one of them should have gone instead.

True, and he was also lovely which is more than could be said for Dom! But he had no realistic hope of getting far in the competition.

Actually when I think of it, quite a few of the female pros have had a pretty rough deal of it
Ola- Andrew and Kenny
Kristina- John
Hayley- Mark
Lilia- Dom and Don
Karen- Gary and Brian
Of all the remaining female pros, only Erin and Flavia have had a decent celeb in either of the last two series (by decent I mean a celeb who had any reasonable hope of getting to say the quarter finals). Kenny did come fifth in one of those weird public voting things, but he wasn't exactly talented.

I hope this year they have more of a go at bringing in a few decent male celebs. Last year six of the eight were written off by the judges in the first week

There's no chance of the cheeky girls entering. They did the Romanian version. And Monica won it

Saw this on Nikki Evans' official website forum:

http://forum.niki-evans.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2156

Not sure about it as although she has had quite a long career in the music business, she is primarily known for the X Factor, and AFAIK hasn't really established herself in the mainstream without XF association. So from that point of view she isn't what Strictly celebs tend to be.

Also the cynical part of me wonders if this is genuine gossip, or if the person posting it just hopes to encourage people to suggest it to the Beeb in hopes that they will start considering her. I doubt badgering the BBC to include her will do anything in any case.

Highly unlikely that Nicki will be picked as a contestant. She is not a celebrity and am sure they won't pick a rival reality tv show contestant

Joe Calzaghe seems to be ruling himself out: http://entertainment.stv.tv/tv/10300...ncing-rumours/ A joke by his dad, apparently. Shame! I would've liked to have seen him give it a go.

Gareth Gates was a singer - just like Alesha. He's having more of a post singing career too. Strictly doesn't get "superior contestants" in so far as there's any difference it tends to get more older ones more BBC staff and more presenters as it easier to fit dancing in with work. DOI tends to get younger fitter people because its harder to do. Dancing on Ice has been a better career move probably for more people if you look at who got what afterwards and until this year the voting was more in tune with abilitywhich makes it worth trying.

Fair dos and wasn't dissing Dancing on Ice. I don't think if the producers were ever unwise enough to oblige Nicki she'd do well on either as both require a lot of time and effort (I would say to be any good but some people put the effort in and still aren't any good - poor Mark and Andrew last year) and I think effort is beyond that little madam and I don't dislike any of the male pros enough to inflict her upon them although I'd be tempted to see her be trained by James more to torture her than him (he's a tough guy and won't be affected by her bs).

O.K - so we are nearly at SCD 7 with just two months to go

And somne names have appeared in connection with the show- and as they have mounted yup I was wondering how you would pair them up with the pros

Alice Beer - 5ft 9 - how about Ian
Fern Britton - 5ft 8 - how about Brendan
Joe Calzaghe - 5ft 11 - how about Erin
Natalie Cassidy - 5dt 3 - Darren
Adrian Chiles - 6ft - how about Ola
Judy Finnigan - 5ft 4 - has to be Anton doesn't it
Gabrielle(Cheeky Girl) - 5ft 6 - Brian maybe
Richard Madeley - 6ft 2 - what about Hayley
Monica(Cheeky Girl) - James maybe
Chris Moyles - 5ft 9 - how about Kristina
Sharon Osbourne - 5ft 2 - Vincent
Teddy Sheringham - 6ft - Karen maybe
The trouble with comparing them this year is that we don't know which pro dancer is coming back this year

Chris Moyles is not considering doing the show either, he's been talking about it on his breakfast show.
He received the official invitation/offer to be on the show this week. His team are egging him on to do it but he is saying no. I couldnt see him doing the show somehow, but the whole idea of it is quite funny. There are also reports that SCD are hoping to sign Kate Middleton for the show. http://tv.sky.com/kate-middleton-for-strictly Again, cant see her taking part in the show either. Its all warming up nicely for the show tho!

I must be the only one who would like to see Chris Moyles on Strictly.

I heard him say he wouldn't do it because he didn't want to wear lycra and be shouted at by a Russian woman.

If he took it as a challenge, like the Kilimanjaro climb, he would be great.

I suspect if we look at who went to Elton Johns White Dress and Tiara shindig last night it might throw up some ideas...... not to mention Michelle Ryan and, I fear, The Duchess of York- she's the only one with Royal links who might do it, certainly not Kate Middleton (she wouldn't risk the crown jewels for a mirror ball!).
