I wouldn't recommend it. It's fine as a basic phone, but personally I've had nothing but trouble with it. It's slow, unresponsive, unreliable, the build quality isn't great (the back of mine falls off, it doesn't seem to 'click' in, I've heard of a few people who have this problem). It takes ages to get going once you switch it on, the the FB/MSN apps take a lot of battery, I keep them switched off unless I need to message someone on MSN (incidentally on the rare occassions I do remain signed into the FB app, my phone periodically restarts itself). 3 keep talking about a software update, but that's yet to materialise.
I reckon there's better PAYG phones out there, in a similar price bracket. Problem with this is it's a brand new manufacturer, so there's no precedent. When I got mine back in December I found it difficult to get much info online as it was so new. I guess it's all subjective though, and depends what you want/expect from a cheaper phone. |

got one of these on a £15 a month x 6 month contract with 30 quid cashback, for that sort of money i think it's a pretty good phone.
Usable brower (once you've installed Opera Mini), push email, any java apps you care you use, bluetooth, the always on internet connection. You couldn't get anywhere near that spec for the money with a nokia or such. The minor complaints would be battery life as mentioned, but that's ok if you can hook it up to your pc at work say, the external speaker is a bit naff and only seems to go from inaudable to uncomfortably noisy, and it gets a bit warm if you're using some of the fancier features for a while. Otherwise I think it's a decent phone. |
