My 8 month old kitten has gone escaped and gone missing. Last night I left a little window open because it was so hot and somehow he got out. He's a really clingy mummys boy and I've no idea where he's gone. He must be so scared.

I'm really in bits about it. We've been walking the streets for hours but just can't find him. I've called all the vets and made some posters that I'll put up tonight but I just can't stop crying at the moment.

It's very rare when I get a cat that I get this close to and it was only two years ago that another cat that I loved loads choked to death at a really young age and I can't take it again

I miss him loads.

I hope he comes back soon. If he got out in the night he could have fallen asleep in a neighbours shed or garage and got locked in. You might find he comes back when they get home from work tonight.

I hope your kitten turns up very soon.
I'm sure you have been checking all the hiding places and neighbours etc. So good luck!

My cat disappeared for ten days and was found down a chimney shaft (or something like that) in a neighbour's house. She was fine, albeit a little thinner.

Don't give up!

my old cat scratch once went missing for three days when he was a few months old! He came back that time safe and sound.

If anything had happened to him the vets would have received word...

has he been chipped yet or was he too young for that?

Ours went missing on Saturday morning. She normally only goes out in the back garden for half hour or so, so by Saturday evening we were getting really worried.

On Sunday, I made some little leaflets on the computer with a picture of her, describing the identifying features and our contact details and also put on it for people to please check their garages, sheds and greenhouses as with the weather being so nice and everyone doing their gardens she could have easily walked into one and got shut in.

Posted one in all the houses on our street and 3 streets that the back gardens from our street join on to.

Sunday evening we got a phone call, a woman 2 streets away found her in her daughters wendy house!

I was so happy when I got the call and rushed round to get her back.

So, I definitely recommend doing leaflets and posting them through letter boxes.

One thought, has your boy been neutered yet?

If not, he could well have been enticed out by a local girly for some fun and games - sadly un neutered Toms tend to wander far and wide in search of females so he could be gone for a while.

Not yet. I'm really really worried and sat here crying still. I had to go to bed last night because I was absolutly mentally and physically exausted, which made me feel really guilty. But if Stella can come back after that long, I hope bob will too.

He was neutered about a month ago, but he is a little terror so he could be off terrorizing birds, other cats or people or something.

Sometimes I imagine that he's off having a big adventure and is really happy and I hope thats true but my mind keeps wandering to him being scared and alone or even worse, dead.

I did this - id imagine her having a wail of a time - playing with everything in sight but then my mind would turn to her being hungry and lost. Have you left some food outside your house?? I am convinced this is what bought her home - that and the familiar smell of me smoking!!

Got everything crossed for you xx

There was food out there all day yesterday, and last night. No one touched it in the day time but it was all gone this morning. There are plenty of cats in the area though so it may well have been one of those.

I've got a sheeba tin thing that I'm going to pop outside shortly. I had my door open all day yesterday, but it's far too cold today so I've gone for the window.

I hope he comes home soon. And as for the smoking, I spent most of yesterday smoking coz I was so stressed so hopefully he can smell my polution and find his way home lol

I hope he comes home soon !

Still no news

I think I'm extra worried coz he's an indoor cat. Are they usually gone for this long if they escape?

Oh blimey, I hope he turns up soon. I have heard of cats just sauntering back home after days and weeks so don't give up hope! Have you done all the usual stuff like call cat shelters/vets etc. I know you don't want to imagine the worst, but call the Council to ask if the cleansing team has seen any animals on the road lately.

Have you put up any posters? It's definitely worth a go as well as leaflet doors in neighbouring streets.

I hope he turns up, lots of vibes being sent from my place .

Yeah, done all that dude. Just playing the waiting game now. Luckily no cats had been picked up by the cleansing department.
