Please no BB's Nikki in SCD
miaviv

Please save us from this whining, talentless chav and don't let her take part in SCD - it would really spoil it for me.

I'm already dreading Sharon Osbourne as I have a dislike of people who are just famous for being famous but aren't actually very good at anything and in Nikki's case, don't actually do anything.

NO CHAVS PLEASE

Seconded! I doubt they'd stoop that low though. Surely LOADS of people want to do SCD so they wont have to scrape the barrell...

BB 'stars' aren't celebs!

Doubt very much if the producers of Strictly are that desperate that they would even consider a Z list brat like her

There seems to be a surfeit of awful suggestions lately.

No to Chris Moyles, Richard and Judy, Sharon O.

Anymore?

Absolutely agree with you there.

please no to 'BB' z-listers or former X-factor/pop idol contestants still looking for their 15 minutes of fame so that they can be famous but have very little other talent apart from being papped outside nightclubs etc.

eg. Nikki , the Cheeky Girls, etc

already dreading the thought of possibly Sharon Osbourne being part of the line up...

The only recent suggestions I think are maybe true are Fern Britton and Joe Calzaghe.

Joe Calzaghe has already gone into print to say the rumours he is taking part are untrue.

That's a shame, he was already being seen as the one to watch

Damn he was the only one rumoured so far I genuinely wanted to do it!

Is she the one who entered BB house in her underwear?!

Edit: Oh it is. The strange one.

RegardingBBs Nikki , why would that little madam think for one second that she is a celebrity ?
If she is is on SCD it will take a nose dive and become a trashy reality show

So Please NO

Oh dear god no Nicky is no celeb, shes a wannabe and SCD is much better than her.

As for Sharon Osbourne ... say it isnt so. She is so annoying and will be a major turnoff for viewers. Thats why Cowel banished her to the US.

"Who IS she? Who IS she? Where did you find her?!"

Everyone I've heard of being part of this series so far - and I include the awful Alesha in that - has made me groan, aside from Fern

Remember the suits at the BBC are on a dumbing down mission and seem intent on ruining its most successful show . So don't be surprised if Nikki does turn out to be a contestant next time.
I predict Strictly will lose a lot of the regulars through sheer exasperation and frustration, like Bruce, Len, Brendan, Anton, Erin.

Not happening.

But why the downer on the new show? Have you seen it?

I don't get this idea that the BBC is on a dumbing down mission - it may be trying to compete with all the other TV channels, but it still produces the best TV imho. Budgets are being cut all over so certain types of show like period drama no doubt will suffer, but it was always the poor relation. Plenty of drama shows have just been announce this week that look pretty good to me.

Even going by what is on TV now though, if we take Sci-fi drama - Torchwood, Dr Who and Being Human are three examples of fantastic shows on the BBC. None of the other terrestrial channels have come even close to producing anything as good - Primaeval is such a poor relation.

The BBC has four good TV channels all clearly aimed at certain types of viewers (BBC3 is still a bit rough but getting there).

ITV has three channels and ITV2 shows mainly recent repeats and ITV3 shows mainly old repeats.

C4 is like ITV with its E4 and More 4 except it tries to offer cutting edge, less traditional TV but often ends up producing sensationalist programmes aimed to shock.

And C5 hangs in there with soaps that the others no longer want and a few good shows amongst quite a bit of car crash TV.

I think the BBC is still well worth the licence fee and I don't feel I only have dumbed down TV shows to choose from.

Why would Bruce, Len, Brendan, Anton and Erin leave guaranteed work with unbeatable exposure in the current economic climate? Surely there should be better quality celebs rather than zedlebs available at the moment?

Just my opinion of course.

This woule be the nail in the coffin of the show, I think. It's bad enough to replace Arlene with know-nothing eye-candy (however lovely and charming Alesha is, I do really like Alesha, but not for this!).

But to bring in Nikki as a contestant? Oh dear, pass me the sick bucket now! They seem to be doing their best to ruin what was my favourite show. I'm not sure I can watch any more. In fact, I don't plan to anyway.

All this bad news has ruined my winter now.

Hideous creature.

It's bad enough they're inviting the petulant little madam back to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Big Brother. It would tip me over the edge to see her impose herself on my favourite show.
