Mikado: I've seen through them!

Now, before you ask, I don't mean literally see through them, I wasn't on some kind of drug fueled trip.

Right, I was watching Dinnerladies on GOLD, when I spotted some boxes of Mikado in the cooler, how is this possible when they are 'new' in the UK.

Then, I was talking to my grandmother, who said she remembered those from years ago. Do you think 'new' is an overstatement.

We have always had Mikado in Ireland . You have to run your finger along and scoop out the jam and lick it , then eat the rest .Well old habits die hard , since I was 5 !!

Isn't there two kinds of Mikado biscuit? The new one that's like Japanese Pocky, the breadstick-type-thing dipped in chocolate, and the old jam-and-marshmallow-on-a-graham-cracker one?

You could always get Mikado in Europe and now and then the cash and carry round where I grew up would get them in as well (years back!). They aren't really any different in taste to Choc Dip though.
