Britney Spears - Circus Re-release
England Rocks
18-06-2009
http://britneyspearsspy.blogspot.com...new-songs.html

Quote:
“There is good possibility that Britney Spears is re-releasing "Circus". Inside sources claim that this will happen after Britney has recorded few new tracks to it and will be releasing a brand new track as a single closer to the Australian gigs at the end of the year.

Sources also claim that this has been in the cards for awhile, but now that the tour will be on to november, this can be materialized finally. More details will be released soon.

A Swedish producer-songwriter Alexander Kronlund (co-writer of Lucky, and If U Seek Amy) was in Finland working with a Finnish producer Dj Mobster on a track that may end up to Britney. They have 3 days to create a song and send it to Britney’s people to see if she likes it. The song starts with words "If You See Me.." and it's described as a catchy hit that stays in your head for hours. Britney is said to hit the studio in a break from the tour, after European gigs.”

Hope the rumours are true!!

most acts do this now its quite common

release a few singles and an album
more singles
then a deluxe edition featuring bonus tracks, videos and mixes
more sales.....

Ooh i love me some deluxe editions, but only when they are put together with a bit of loving care. A couple of new tracks isn't enough for me to part with my pennies.

A DVD with videos is usually the point when i start showing a bit of interest

There's already a deulux circus out, which I have got. I think this re-release will have 5 extra songs which IMO is well worth buying circus again, but re-release tend not to do well in the charts, unless she promotes again but doubt it as she be in australier on tour.

I also reckon it might have the tour dvd with it, i think she will do a dvd at one of her shows so i think theres a good chance she will put it with this, and she did like 50 songs for this album about 35 we have never heard, maybe they will be on here.

to be honest a cover of 'sweet dreams my LA ex' would probably work for Britney internationally...obviously people in the UK will remember it first time round, but noone else knows Rachael Stevens

it'd be quite a simple way of having a hit

LA ex was offered to Britney apparently, to get back at Justins 'Cry me a river' but she rejected it.

Interesting news. I enjoyed Circus as an album but wasn't too keen on the ballads.
