Perhaps somebody can help me.

For the last ten years I have been working as a producer in the music industry. I have produced many individual mixes and several albums for various record labels within the same UK company, but work has become quite thin on the ground over the last couple of years.

For some time, I have been wondering about approaching other companies with a view to producing my own material and selling via the internet, but all I hear is how various internet services rip off the artist, taking huge cuts for themselves while paying very little £% to the artist/producer themselves.

To be honest, I wouldn't know where to begin. Hopefully somebody may be able to point me in the right direction to make a start, perhaps recommending an appropriate writer's/producer's forum where I may learn more.

While I don't have a specific recommendation, there are a few writer/producer/music forums on the web, and each should have info on who is good to use for this kind of service.
