I have purchased a PVR and have contacted Humax directly about a missing manual that my parents want and have not had any reply from them,

has anyone had any joy in contacting them with success?

Many thanks

Adam

You could download the manual to get you going but it would of course be nice to have the real thing.

Yeah, thanks for that,

My oldies like the real thing, plus its the principle of not getting it in the first place.

It's not Humax's responsibility to provide you with the manual it is that of the retailer that you bought the PVR from. Why was it missing in the first place?

Not me! I contacted them by e-mail in March (I think) complaining about the "0" added and removed update which wiped most of my series links out. Not even the courtesy of a reply.

I emailed them a month ago re my box that was locking up (the tale is in a couple of other threads) and they were back to me a couple of times within 36 hours with instructions to use factory default reset etc. and then arranged a replacement delivered a couple of days later with the old one collected. All pretty impressive.

Unfortunately it wasn't a new box - just a return/refurb that is worse than the original for lockups - They are now ignoring my emails over the last 5 days.

I had the same experience with one of their Freeview+ PVRs and ended up having to write to the CEO to get it resolved.

They are very good at ignoring emails

I have said before that IMHO their customer service communication is very poor.
