Muttley can crack open the champagne bottle as the event she's wished for has come to pass. The Ood are evicted from the game & claim 10th place with votes from 53.57% of you.

In second place with nominations from precisely half of you is Season One's Lone Dalek which leaves Season Three making up half of the Top Eight, Season Four having two representatives & the Recurring Characters & Season One having one apiece. We already know that everyone from Season Two has already bitten the dust.

I had the daleks going ahead of the lone dalek as people on the forum seemed so sick of the daleks as a whole that I thought they would get evicted before the top 8!

Ah well, 6 out of 8 ain't bad!

I'm not sure I have any idea what the top 3 will be, because I've found it so difficult to predict how people will vote! But I guess I think it will be:
1. Harold Saxon/ The Master (John Simm)
2. The Weeping Angels
3. Davros (Julian Bleach)
Then again I'm probably wrong!

Must admit i thought that too, but i suspect there may be a Sarah Jane effect here, where some people are not voting soley on nu who...

Anyone else feel that Season 3 will have a clean sweep of the top 3?

It's possible, but i predict two from series 3 and 1 from series 4, personally!

Poor little Ood have gone. But I have seen the error of my predicitons so I don't mind, and they did well to get this far.

I have absolutly no idea who will make the top three.....But have a feeling that the Weeping Angels are likely to be there.......



I have to say that compared to the other monsters that are left, the weeping Angels are the only ones to not really do a lot of harm to thier victims, in fact the victims tend to have a better life (well except for Martha who had to look after the whinging Doctor) than their present ones......

The Lone Dalek gone?!

It was my personal favourite enemy, showed just how scary a Dalek can be, the first time the series really had menace- and the Doctor's reaction to it was superb, made it all the more effective.

I can't believe it's gone while the Daleks as a whole are still in- all those completely non-scary, easily defeated fleets had nothing on the threat of the one isolated soldier.

As for Muttley's postulated 'Sarah Jane effect'- does that apply to Davros too? It didn't seem to help the Cybermen.

As for the Ood, while I'm aware of the argument that they're not really enemies, I hold to the view that whatever their natural inclinations, while possessed they definitely are- I'm sure Sky was a nice person before whatever it was got her too. And they were very effective enemies in the Impossible Planet/the Satan Pit, far more so than Satan.

Predictions- difficult here, I know who I'll predict for top two, but not sure about the third. Oh well, will have a guess.

I think they were just answering the question, not giving their votes....

The difference being that whatever some peoples issues with JE were, most people concurred that Davros was awesome in it. And the Cybermen nearly made the top 10 in spite of being pretty much slated for every apperence they have made in nu who, which only serves to support my theory.


My point was broader than that. By their very basic nature, the ood are peaceful and trusting creatures. This is very well explained by Donna in TPOTO. Humans, as a whole, are neither of these things. Yes The Tula Zombies/Sky/Toby were not necessarily bad people themselves prior to being possessed/transformed, but as a species we are actually kind of unpleasent creatures.

After changing my mind at least 50 times, my answer to this round's question is:

1. The Master (John Simms)

It's going to be a close call any which way!

I have just realised that I have gone through this whole game thinking the Tula Zombies were in my top 8 - and they weren't

I knew I would mess it up when I had to rush the whole thing plus my first set of votes in 10 minutes - goodness knows what I would have taken out though

and I hated the idea of Davros coming back, but Julian Bleach nailed it in the way that it hadn't been since Genesis of the Daleks.

Hear hear! (Or is it here here!!!) He brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat as everything was spot on.

I was quite excited (though nervous) about Davros coming back, but I agree with you, Bleach was AMAZING in the part. Personally, I would like to see Davros win this game. I think that there is little to choose between some of the top contenders, but the reason I would like to see Davros win is because I feel in many ways it was the biggest risk to take in briniging him back....and it paid off handsomley.
