Every summer my dog bites at her paws -so bad she makes them bleed.. i've put her cone collar on and she has some paw wash , i'm taking her to the vets on Monday ,she probably needs a course of antibiotics.
Anyone here whose pet has allergies ?

not seasonal, but our miss can't have metal near her, she lost all the fur under her chin as a pup and all around her nose - from her identity tag and eating out of metallic bowls

she used to go mental scratching her nose, taking all of the skin off of one side a few years ago, the vet was able to give us tablets which calmed it down
touch wood, she's not needed them in a few years, just some days having the odd scratch, it gets better and worse depending on the seasons
our boy's shaping up to be the same so... fun.

My dog Ziek suffers from Summer Itch. Every time the weather turns warm in spring he starts scratching and biting so much he bleeds. Especially on his chest.

He has to have an injection and a bath with special shampoo twice a week (the bath that is.)

Ask the vet for the injection that lasts 6 weeks. Its better for the dog and saves him/her having to go back every week.

Good luck!!
