Foxsat-HDR version for Cable (5050-C) is better!
Hi, my dad bought a Humax Foxsat-HDR for cable in Holland (so officially this model is the 5050-c, but almost identical specs to foxsat-HDR), and I have to say the guide looks so much better than the guide in our foxsat HDR.
First of all you will see a small live tv picture in the top left corner, and secondly the graphics are nicer, instead of the plain grey look. Is the guide screen really locked down by FreeSat, or is Humax able to change according to their own taste (and that of its consumers). Wouter. |

I wouldnt want a small screen on there, Id rather all the space is used for the guide. The HDR could easily add another 3 rows of channels with the space they arent using.
As for the EPG colour, I love it especially compared to sky (they may have changed it, its been a long time since i saw it) and that horrible blue colour. Any chance of a picture uploaded so we can see what its like? |

I didn't make this picture myself, but it is from a Dutch site:

Thanks.
No I dont like it, the top 3rd of the pic is wasted. The info only needs to be one line and then you could fit 3 or 4 new channels onto each page. |

At least it isn't a bad as having adverts like our Panasonic DVD recorder has

One of the reasons that Panasonic recorders are no longer considered in the Dye household.
I suspect GuidePlus pay the manufacturers to set GuidePlus as the default?, as there's no advantage to it (and lots of disadvantages), if you can get Freeview. |
