Dual tuner functionality works on motorized system now works
Hi there,
I remember some previous forum posts (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...ighlight=motor and http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...ighlight=motor) mention that the Foxsat HDR does not support the dual tuner functionality when connected to a motor. That is you cannot record on channel, and record another. I originally witnessed this limitation with my Foxsat HDR when I installed a motor a few weeks ago. However, last night I recorded some boxing on RTL (Astra 19.2 non-freesat mode), and noticed I could actually watch another channel on Astra 19.2 while recording. I then thought, maybe this limitation was only on Freesat mode, but I can also record one channel and watch another in Freesat mode. As far as I am aware, there has been no automatic FW upgrade. My Foxsat HDR has the following Diag info: Software version: HPRSFCI 1.00.02 Loader Version: U 7.51 System ID: 3768.0000 Update Date: 10 Nov 2008 I am not sure what has now "triggered" this dual tuner functionality when using a motor. All I can think is that maybe to "trigger" this functionality, you need to do the following: 1. Go to non-freesat mode. 2. Choose a non-freesat satellite (e.g. Astra 19.2). 3. Record a channel 4. Change channel. Cheers, Rob |

Are you sure you aren't talking about 2 services on the same multiplex ? Can you record ITV and watch BBC 1 on 28.2E ?

Cheers, Rob Obviously if you point the dish at one sat you can only record or watch channels on that sat but there's no reason why you couldn't get exactly the same functionality on any sat at which you are pointed. Or have I completely missed the point of the question? |

Why would using a motor affect the recording capabilities?
... Fact is the minute you tell the thing that there is a motor attached the "2 cable" setting changes itself immediately to "1 cable" and LNB 2 input is ignored, thus you can onbly watch/record things on same multiplex. |
