Boy cat or girl cat? Take the photo quiz....
Boy cat or girl cat? Try the photo quiz to see if you can spot which are girls and which are boy cats! I have dogs so only scored 8/20 so clearly not good at this quiz!

12 out of 20 for me
I'm surprised the ginger was a girl, as most gingers are usually Toms. Very rare they're girls. Was right with the Tortie, as they're usually girls too. Good quiz

Bum, 8 for me too.
I went for the ginger being a tom, too. I was trying to tell by the shape of the faces as I tend to think males often have slightly longer faces and the females more rounded. Didn't help in that quiz though!

12/20 for me too!!! I think it's a bit misleading for a 'boy' kitty to have a pink collar though....
![]() That was fun....

14, but should've had 15
Went against my judgement on one because of a pink collar ![]() Among the cats we've had throughout my life, the females - to my eyes - seemed to have smaller heads in proportion to their body-size, than the males. And that criteria SHOULD have netted 15/20 on this test if I'd ignored that flippin' pink collar. |

Went against my judgement on one because of a pink collar . 11 out of 20 for me My technique was judging by paw size - we have 2 littermates at home and apart from the obvious male and female bits (whipped off by the vets some time ago!) the biggest difference between them is that her paws are half the size of his. It would seem that this doesn't apply across the board though (and some pics had no paws in them - that's my excuse!)

Your Score: You got 13 right out of 20 questions, for a score of 65 percent.
Have to admit some of them were wild guesses

16 out of 20 for me.
I went mainly for head size and shape for the boys too, but there were a couple of butch looking girls in there that threw me! Plus I must admit to seeing the answer about the pink color before I took the quiz! |

Shoulda been 17 because a boy cat had a pink collar, that one threw me. |

13 out of 20, would have been 14 but went against my own thoughts on one of them.

![]() Good quiz, played a similar one last year that a friend sent me, this was after we discovered our little 'girl' kitty was in fact a little 'boy' kitty. ![]() In our defence we were used to always having boy cats, but last year we got 3 new kittens from a cat rescue woman. First was Ginger a boy, next came Amy the first female we ever had & I admit me & my Mum did spend a bit of time 'comparing the differences' between Ginger & Amy ![]() A couple of months later cat rescue woman rang us up to say she had another kitten if we were interested which my Stepdad on hearing it was a white one said yes. Anyway we were told it was another girl called Candy, we changed her name to Katy & just took it for granted it was a girl because thought cat rescue woman was expert & we didn't really 'check'. Few months later, Ginger got neutered, Amy got spayed then we decided it must be time for Katy to be spayed, although we recall 'Katy' lying around alot with 'her' legs open and my Mum said if she didn't know any better would swear 'she' was a 'he'. Trip to the vets & was informed by vet that 'she' was in fact a 'he'. So name now changed to Charlie and pink collar exchanged for a blue one.Poor Charlie spent first few months of his life livin as a 'girl'.

I scored 17/20... which is odd.
I know nothing about cats. |

16 out of 20 XD
Some were quite obvious seeing as black and white is predominantly a male colouration and totoiseshell a female, I learnt that when my cat had kittens and the vet was determining the sex, we had all sorts of colours! |
