Cat's ear is floppy - what could it be?

I will phone the vets about this but just curious in case anyone on here may know what this is. I noticed that my 3 year old tom's ear is floppy at the tip. There is no noticeable discharge or anything in his ear, no black ear mites in the ear and he doesn't seem bothered by it, he isn't tilting his head or scratching the ear.

It's worth mentioning we were away on holiday last week at a remote cottage. Could he have picked up some sort of infection there?

Two of our cats got some sort of (I think termite) infection in their ears. Anyway it filled up with pus and eventually flopped over where it's stayed ever since.

They've not found it a hearing problem, one was already deaf, and the younger one still hears fine, however the younger one a while back was continually scratching it and a trip to the vet found it was full of nasty waxy junk, so some antibiotics got rid of the infection and he had eardrops which were put in to break up the junk then a tissue to get it out. It's fine now but we do just look out to check he's not being irrritated by it anymore.

Hope this helps
