Need help with Humax FoxSat

I just bought a FoxSat and have got it working with two feeds from the LNB.

Is there a forum here on DS which pulls all the FoxSat stuff together.

I have read the instruction book and still find myself in confusion.

I want to be able to set up a relatively small set of favourites and have them come on line promptly.

I am also disappointed to learn that the red button interactive services are not available. Happily I still have my Technomate available

When you say the sports multiscreen is available do you mean the interactive channels usually referred to by the BBC as the red button, the seven channels coming off transponder 12441 v

If so can you please lead me throgh the process of getting them on to line.

Nobody said it would be easy !!!

Tune to one of the BBC TV channels and shortly the 'Press Red' icon will appear. Then press the red button and you will be taken to the home page then either key in 3001 and then 'OK' or just scroll down the list to 'sport multiscreen' and press 'OK'. Once there just use the number buttons to select the feed you wish to view.

If when you initially press the red button you only get the list of TV channels I would guess that your set top box is in non-freesat mode as normally when you first set up the box it scans for the freesat channels and then you have to do a manual scan to get the non-freesat and when the box completes the non-freesat scan it defaults to that mode. To return to freesat mode press the menu button and then in the settings list scroll down to STB mode and press the'OK' button to toggle between the two modes and then press the exit button to return to the tv image

Thank you very much, that worked just fine.

Now I can think about moving the Technomate upstairs to my study and leave my wife downstairs in peace.

But is there some way to arrange the remining selection of channels in a preferred way

You cannot re-order the channels on freesat. however you can in non-freesat mode but the problem with that is if you have a recording scheduled in freesat mode depending on when the box was switch between modes the recording may fail or if you recieve a prompt saying a reservation is about to record the box will automaticaly switch from non-freesat back to freesat mode.
