I have cancelled Sky+ with a few weeks to go before the contract ends and have a new Humax freesat+ box to replace the Sky+ box.

I have a few recorded programmes left to watch on Sky+ so can I:

Disconnect the Sky+ box and install the freesat+ box, then use the 'LNB out' from the freesat+ to one of the LNB inputs of the Sky box. The idea being that I need a signal to Sky+ box temporarily in order to watch recorded programmes. I won't be using the Sky+ box to record or view broadcasts.

Once I have viewed the last few remaining programmes on Sky+ I will decommision it.

Thanks in advance!

If you turn off power saving in sby the sky box should have lnb control with the foxsat off. So yes it should work
