BBQ Sirloin Steak recipes?
earsnot
23-06-2009
Hey, I'm pretty new to barbecuing, only done chicken/potatos/corn on the cob etc

I have 2 sirloin steaks I'm going to cook up tomorrow and don't know what to do with them?

I've found one recipe I like the sound of :

Ingredients

* 7 tablespoons butter
* 4 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
* 2kg (4 lb) beef sirloin steaks
* salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preparation method

1. Preheat barbecue for high heat.
2. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat with garlic. Set aside.
3. Sprinkle both sides of each steak with salt and pepper.
4. Barbecue steaks 4 to 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. When done, transfer to warmed plates. Brush tops liberally with garlic butter, and allow to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

Just wondering if anyone has any recipes they could recommend? Thanks

Do a Hot Soy Dressing...gorgeous with steak.

Rub steaks with olive oil sea salt and pepper. Cook on one side 'til well marked , turn and cook to your liking. Rest for 5 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp sesame oil in a pan, stirring to mix.

Slice steak and add dressing.

Made this before, it's divine!!

Soy

make a runny paste, and brush over during cooking (or marinade before cooking for stronger flavor)
