Amazon Video on Demand- help?
whatfreshhell

I watch a lot of obscure American tv shows, most of which are available through the amazon.com video on demand service, and I really want to watch them on here, but when I try it says that it's detected I'm in the UK and that I have to be in the US.

Is there anyway to get round this? It's so frustrating, it's like this for many videos on iTunes also

Thanks for time!

Dont bother mate, ive been there and done that, tried my best to be a good little citezen and pay for everything, you will get screwed over, you will pay then find you cant watch it, there are things like hotspot shield which will reroute you through a USA IP address, although, its rally slow with video.

Better off just going to OVguide

would anyone have the slightest hunch about if/when we may get this service for the UK?
I have a panny viera cast tv, and love the youtube facility, but of course it will really come into its own when we have some rental VoD service come to it...if ever.

If you are considering Amazon Prime, then I suggest either OverPlay or Unblock-Us which will unblock the service, and video quality is fantastic. But you will need a separate Amazon prime sub.

I don't know if it works for their pay-as-you-go as I rarely use those.

if you like obscure American movies, perhaps you may also be interested in Hulu Plus as they have access to the largest online library of the Criterion Collection (art house movies). More details in the review here.
