Absolutely, Fliss. Rumours abound, some of the celebs linked with SCD make you or - and there's a load of speculation based purely on looks as to how well someone will be able to dance. Remember Mark last year? Hot bod = great mover.

Or, stick insect on acid, as CRH so succinctly put it.

And, of course, it means that we will soon have SCD on for 7 days a week. The men in my house really object to that.

Love it.
I think it was interesting because Matt and Gethin last year and Ramps the year before everyone thought that a fit looking bloke would be a great mover (people forgot Roger Black who apparently wasn't a great mover either - I didn't watch series two so I can't speak from experience). There was also the fact he was a sportsman too and they tend to do well - yes people were expecting another Ramps and Mr Foster turned out not to have the rhythm of his namesake.

Now if Matt Pinsent was to be on the show (dreams), I'm sure he would make Mark foster look like Fred Astaire

Just a chance of seeing Matt P in a tight lycra shirt once

He would be good, but maybe they will change their minds, he is on question of sport after all.

Yes but he is so thick (not said unkindly! - but just stating the truth) - he would continually have trouble knowing if he was supposed to be going backwards, forwards or round in a circle and then with either left or right.... (he would drive his pro (whoever the unlucky lady is) mad)... He would probably try the patience of a saint.

He is sort of like the cuddly teddy bear everyone feels sorry for but has the brains of fluff.

Going back to the silly season though...

I have heard (sorry cant reveal sources) that its going to be the same as per last year (ie 16 couples) and the PTB are drafting in another 2 foreign pro ladies (probably from the States - Hayley didnt really work did she from the NZ version) and they are going to make up "scratch" partnerships with Ian and Brendan.

Also heard that they might try putting Kristina and Matt together as pros and putting Karen with Brian (although this is not confirmed). So I suppose that scratches the hopes of Nicole coming back.

Hasnt he gone on record to say that he's a no... and the rumours were just his Dad pulling a fast one?

[almost like the stories of Michael Schumacher being the Stig.]

Then again Michael Schumacher is not a bad one... perhaps he'd like to do Strictly.

A few of us would like to see Richard Hammond on SCD but don't think he'd manage to remember the routines after suffering that head injury. He and Flavia would look quite lovely together.

BTW SaraV, I don't believe that Schumie was the Stig either, but that's a debate for elsewhere on this forum.....

Now, on the Top Gear theme - can we imagine Jeremy Clarkson doing a rumba.

*cringes*

I think out of the TG three James would be the one most likely to do it

Did you post on the Beeb last year, Tim? I'm wondering whether our paths crossed over there?
Hi Sazzle, sorry if you thought I was ignoring you, I managed to miss your post at the bottom of the page there!

Yes I was on the Beeb boards last series, although I wasn't among the most frequent posters. I am sure I will be there for the new series as well. I wasn't on Digital Spy then though, so I don't know how I will cope with 2 boards on the go!

I am not convinced by any of the TG team as potential Strictly celebs , but I can see Jeremy having a good go at the judges

Also they would all need a haircut if they wanted to impress Len!

** mental image of James... Richard or Jeremy all having a hair cut... to impress Len..

How would they cope every week or would they have to mentally think of every dance as a race?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would love Richard to do it... he would be so funny... (especially with Flavia)... but you could be right on the old memory thing..

Hi Tim - no probs. It's easy to miss people. I'll keep an eye open for you this year on the Beeb. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope with 2 boards either!

La_Passione - I think I remember you from Claudia's Couch? Or am I mixing you up with someone else?

Yep the one and only. Only problem is that the beeb won't let me have La_Passione over there since it's not in english!!

Yeah Sara richard's hair was rather massive on sunday. Sort of add's to his quirkyness.
