This will be of zero use to you but many years ago when I was going to fancy dress as a hula girl my Mum feed my Dad watermelons galore and made my bracelets and anklets out of the seeds

Not any more - this was 20+ years ago - probably before they had a decent TV (and tons of kids )

I discard the seeds.

But I do eat the watermelon sprinkled with salt which most people find very strange.

I take them out and bin them and then stuff my face with the melon until it's all smothered on my cheeks and chin

I only ever eat vodka watermelon!!

(For those that don't know, cut a little hole in the melon, insert funnel. Pour in some vodka. Repeat every day for a week. Eat melon. get drunk!! )

My local veggie shop are doing huge slices of the red flesh watermelon for 75C a pop. I'm down there all the time buying them. I take out the seeds, eat the flesh and give the rest to my Guinea Pig!

I like taking a slice and sticking it on the side of my glass when I'm drinking Iced Tea. It looks great and I eat it when I'm finished my drink

Surely that is the only type of watermelon? I have never seen any different.
