As Mansun said previously - the MAJORITY of mentions of the Doctors 'previous' lives far outweighs one silly little blip in The Brain Of Morbius. Therefore, I think we should conclude that the other images were Morbius.

This reminds me of reading about the Tardis in an official BBC book on Doctor Who.....in a specific chapter on the history of the Tardis, it said that it couldn't travel any further than 45,902AD (or something around then) because that was the year it was made, so it couldn't go beyond that point.
Now we know that the Tardis can go TRILLIONS of years to the future. Good job that 'certain' continuities can be put aside isn't it really!

I can't see that happening. There's no way the Doctor would ever steal another Timelord's lives. It's far more likely that the dying Doctor's life would be extended - against his own will - by somebody else's noble self-sacrifice.

Having said that, I honestly can't see why people get so worried about a 'rule' that hasn't even been mentioned since 1996. Moffet (or his replacement) could just magic it away with a single line of dialogue.

Face of Jack, I know. I thought by posting that correction, I was also saying the other faces couldn't be the Doctor, as he's already had 5 regens too many if they were.

Surely it would make more sense to be unable to time travel to an earlier point in history than when the time machine was built, but able to visit a later time, because changing history would alter the present. Whereas changing the future is inconsequental, since it hasn't happened yet.

Also Tardises aren't built, they're organic. It has a heart, remember, it caused the last regeneration when the Doctor had to save Rose, who'd absorbed it's energy. I presume the book predates 2005.

Oh yeah, the book.....it might even been DWM that I read it in, come to think of it, was from the late 90's!
Isn't time-travel fun though?
You could change anything!
