Trout fillets
I got a few trout fillets and not knowing what to do with them at the time I froze them.
I'm now wanting to work my way through my freezer to free some space up. I still don't know what to do with them so am up for some suggestions. I know there's a good bunch of foodies out there so I expect some good suggestions. I'll try anything but I don't want to have to buy a ton of ingredients to make a dish out of them. |

Ha yes I saw that - nice idea but kinda wanted a meal.
Do I steam them, fry them? Really at a loss as to how to have them. Seems most people here are too. I'll probably have to google something - wanted to run it past the faithful food board here first though. |

Hi, my first post!
I was given some trout fillets and found a recipe in a magazine. I covered the fillets in a mix of breadcrumbs, diced bacon, lemon, thyme, salt and pepper, and then roasted them for 10 minutes. Served with new potatoes and veg, they were really good! |

I'm not a huge fan of baked or steamed trout but I love it simply fried in a pan.It seems to take away the muddy taste that trout have.Probably because they're fed on nasty pellets.
