"In for the Kill", I adore this song despite the fact it's not my usual cup of tea.....guessing it's a girl singing, due to the 'La' in the name

It's probably been out for years....I hardly ever post in here *runs back to BB*

'Bulletproof' is far better than 'In For The Kill'.

Can I just point out that I LOVE the name La Roux. It's so cool.

I love me a bit of Pete Burns but for fe*ks sake....all I could hear was the backing track to 'You spin me'

What is up with the hearing of some people these days? The girl from La Roux can't sing!! She is bloody terrible. She was on Joe Riley's () live lounge last week and it was painful to listen to.

Love her. In The Kill and Bulletproof are fab tunes.

Seems an influx of good solo female artists lately.. La Roux, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga, Little Boots..

La Roux is not a solo female artist it's a duo.

I totally agree about this girl's voice - its shrill and her singing on Jo Whiley's show was dreadful - no energy, no strength in her voice at all. She sounded so bored - it was like listening to someone singing their maths homework.

Having said that there are some killer hooks kicking around in the songs I've heard.

Got to agree with the above comment - Elly Jackson's voice is just awful, really horrible. Thin, shrill, and tuneless.

I like La Roux, and both songs so far. I much prefer 'Bulletproof' though and it is my favourite song of the moment.

That being said, Elly Jackson's voice is absolutely hideous. I recently watched her on the live lounge and can safely say it is probably the worst performance I have seen so far.

Yay im delighted they got to number 1 It's gotta be the best chart topper this year for me by a mile.

Hopefully the album will also head right to the top. It would have done for sure last week but now im not so certain. It's number 4 currently on i-tunes. Probably will still hit the top still.

It's fantastic! Not a bad song on it. Plus ive got a special preorder only bonus song from itunes which is nice My favourite song though is still Quicksand

Hardly think having a mum who is in The Bill has got her where she is, its not like shes a Hollywood star...come on. I bet lots of people don't even know she's related to the woman from the Bill, I had no idea until I read about her on Wiki.

Anyway, Im glad they got Number1, cracking song.

Yes, because everyone on The Bill is a famous actress I didn't even know this until you've just mentioned it, and i doubt that many others do either. At this stage i'd say that the daughter is already more famous than the mother who plays a character on a declining quality "soap".

She might be crap live, but she sounds perfectly fine when she's not. To be fair it's the tune more than anything else that i think people are liking.

PS: Sorry if that sounds a bit snotty, i didn't mean it to come across that way.

I think she's very overrated. Her music sounds like something from an 80s computer game and the voice is annoying (I like weird voices but hers is just grating).

Terrible record.
Really bad.

How the hell has this got to No.1?
Sales must be at an all time low if dross like this tops the charts.
