I'm not that interested in it. I may have taken a look if there was any act that interested me.

What's puzzling me is the bands they have on. Ok, I don't pay much interest but I always thought it was more of an indie festival and maybe they would have a headline shocker every year or so but from what i've seen/read it's all pop culture. Lilly Allen? Lady GaGa? Nerd?
Should these people be at Glastonbury? Seems more like a Radio1 love in.

I think that the Eavis's may have been slightly worried this year with money etc that they may not sell out, I think that they had problems selling tickets with them not going as fast as previous years and thats why they kind of went for the "safe" line up this time around.

Music wise I like watching it. But having to put up with Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley (Cant Stand her), Edith Bowman and Reggie Yates presenting it, is WAY to much!

Dizzee Rascal just on.

I think it should move to channel 4 and be called something like T4 on the farm.

To be fair - If you're watching it on TV then you're getting a very filtered view of the festival. BBC are obviously going to cover the acts Radio 1 play so its a bit same old, same old.

Full coverage of some of the main stages are on the BBC website. All yesterday's acts are on there from the Pyramid, Other, Jazz and John Peel Stages. Watched the full White Lies and Bloc Party sets, of which only a couple of songs were on the TV.

Pity they don't have cameras up at the Queens Head or the Acoustic stage - then I would be happy as a pig in mud.

And I have to agree about the presenters - the only ones I can stand are Zane Lowe (without the drippy blonde) and the Mark Radcliffe/Lauren Laverne pairing.

I don't like any of them anymore. I guess it's with age. I used to have to listen to radio1 all day and it gradually drove me mad and now I cannot stand Wiley, Bowman & Murray.

Zane lowe is slightly better but not by much.

The worst I saw was light night when channel hopping. It seemed like a drunk Radcliff patronising a band that had just played live for him & Laverne.

You were good, you were really good....I mean it you were very good you were good. I think he then stumbled about for a bit.

NO! I am sure that with 60million people in the country and a large minority not into modern music, I am sure you will find some others like you. But not me. i love watching it each year from the comfort of my leather sofa

So, OP are you going to start a thread about every other programme or event you dont like? Or shall I do it?

Am I the only person who isnt the interested in the slightest in.........horseracing, religious programmes, horror films, springwatch, .................

Yes, Blur another of today's highlights - along with Tom Jones, Tony Christie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amadou and Miriam and Madness. I probably won't get to see The Prodigy and Nick Cave until tomorrow if they are showing the whole set.

My hubby could never understand why I have watched Glastonbury over the years. But then he watched Bruce Springsteen last night and was totally rocking on the sofa. Then today, I caught him watching Tom Jones, Madness and Status Quo. Then he was listening to VV Brown play an accustic set and he really liked her singing. My hubby is 68 and is quite clued up when it comes to modern music, but he still doesn't like some acts of today. He was gutted that he missed Crosby, Stills and Nash (when hubby said practically everyone in the 60s in Tooting, where he lived at the time, were 'smokin the blues' LOL!! . Crosby, Stills and Nash bought back the memories for him). Daughter played him a bit of Dizzee Rascals' Bonkers (which she recorded on Sky+) and they were dancing away. No matter what Glastonbury has become, the music is what matters no matter what genre. It gets people of all ages dancing and singing.

Bon Iver was amazing and Mr Scruff is playing tonight too, I doubt I'll get any clips of him though

Liked seeing Neil Young and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

I kinda like that Bat for Lashes lass but some of her songs sound like rip offs to me - from the Cure especially.

I was watching status quo last night on the tv and the crowd didnt seem to respond much to the music.
The band were working their balls off in the heat for hardly any applause.
Shame really as i saw them live three weeks ago at bedgebury pinetum in kent.
For ther age they seem to have more energy than bands half their age.

Ok, so music festivals aren't your thing (unless you're actually there, bored shitless, posting from the Pyramid stage). Call Michael Eavis, maybe he'll stage something more to your liking next year. Better get a move on though, he's already started planning it.
