A proper Cosmo is quite a strong cocktail, yes.
When I make mine though, unless I really want a very big kick after a hard day, I usually make them a bit less strong. I like: 1 measure citrus vodka 1/2 measure triple sec 1 lime, cut into quarters 2 measures, maybe 3 if I want it even weaker, cranberry juice - shake with ice. |

Hi Conor -
You can make a Cosmopolitan in a number of ways. It is all about personal preference when it comes to cocktails. I shall give you what i find to be the best recipe for this cocktail: The Original Cosmopolitan 2 PARTS Beefeater Gin 1/2 PART Triple sec 1/2 PART Freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 PART Raspberry-infused sugar syrup METHOD Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. |
