Just had some with butter on, lovely! But you rarely hear it mentioned anywhere, I wonder why?

Any other fans?

lol this topic made me laugh. I think it kind of is nice but I can see why it is not that popular at the same time. I think it may be it's texture makes me feel a bit weird about it.

Love the stuff. With a ton of butter on it.

Once, a friend bought the ready sliced stuff and I ridiculed them in the same way I'd ridicule people for buying ready grated cheese or pre-whipped cream.
However, on reflection it's a damn good idea. I love malt loaf but cutting it is a nightmare - it just squidges.

Love it too, covered in butter..... yummy yummy
Agree its a sod to slice. I get so ratty trying to slice it. The first piece looks nice and by the time I've finished slicing it is half the size and all squished

You can buy it ready sliced and buttered in a two slice pack, very handy for pack lunches.

Yes I've tried that. Only bought it because it was languishing on the reduced shelf. Wouldn't spend full amount on that though. That's one step too lazy even for me!

I adore Maltloaf - can't get it here so I have it any way possible whenever I go back - including in the ready sliced and buttered version - I could eat it all day! Someone franchise the brand in Greece!!
