My boy Paul is constantly farting and is really stinking.

I've heard that raising the food bowl can help stop his gas, but does anyone know if this works? If so, how high up should it be.

All other suggestions very welcome

My Emma does a few, we ought to hold a competition! She did one during the night on Saturday which was so bad me and the other half woke up and were gagging! I actually got out of bed to see if she had poo'd it was absolutely evil. I bet you could smell it down your way.

None of which helps you of course. Emma has digestive probs and is on Hills kd for kidney failure, so actually since she's been on this she isn't normally quite as gassy as she used to be. Have you tried a different diet at all? I found I often had to change after about 6 months with her else she would start getting tummy probs.

We've tried loads of different foods, but he's very fussy so won't eat them.

Perhaps it was your Emma I could smell

my dog has just started farting. Over the last fortnight we have introduced gloucosomine into his diet with a little wet dog food. All his life he has only had dry food, so to add a spoonful of wet has made him gassy !!!

They really are quite deadly,.

Natural yoghurt

Try sticking some in her food - it hasn't stopped ours popping away every time she stretches but it does take the whiff out of the vast majority of them

Just high enough that he can't actually get to it to eat anything. Nothing in, nothing out.

Have you tried giving him a dose of his own medicine? Click

He gets startled enough by his own.

What breed is yuor dog? also if it is a recent thing I would get a check over by the vet. Finally what food are you feeding him at the moment? Rubbish feed can cause excess gas.

One other thing charcoal doggy biscuits like Bonio ones could help absorb the gas before it comes out!

He's a boxer, so gas is pretty normal, but it just smells so much!

He's on Omega food atm, the only one he'll eat.

I'll try Bonio, he has the Tesco biscuits atm so I'll see if changing them helps.

Thanks

I think charcoal biccies may be your best bet along with bio yoghurt. I have a greyhound and he's super stinky too! I would suggest a better quality food but if that all he'll eat then just try the other stuff.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try anything!

But yes, Omega food is the only stuff he'll eat. He turns his nose up at everything else.
