Leopard Gecko (Lizard) Taming
BlueJoe101

Hi Guys/Girls

We have 2 leopard gecko's, about 6-7 months old now. One is growing quite nicely and is very tame. The second one is skinnier and smaller but is also a fiesty git lol.

We try to handle them on a daily basis but no matter what we try, the little one just will not tame.

Anyone have any ideas?

Animals have different personalities, like people. From what you say the smaller skinnier one is more stressy and reactive than the other one and may always be that way. You could try hand feeding its favourite treats but it may just be that way. Do be careful not to hold or grab it by the tail as Geckos are one of the type of lizards that can lose their tail as a defense if frightened or startled. While it eventually grows back it takes a long time and would always be shorter and blunter than its original tail.
