Brit award nominations leaked
I'm sure Dido will walk best female, possibly Rachel has a outside chance for getting one of the best sellers of the year with "Sweet Dreams".
Best male is alittle trickier, Will has timed his no.1 well, and the album seems to be doing well too. Then again, Daniel Beddingfields album has been a huge seller, had loads of hits from it. Plus the music industry seems obsessed with America, and he's done relatively alright over there, so that'll count for alot. Plus I think Will has won a Brit before, and I don't think Daniel has (?). Lemar has done ok too, but must be an outsider, with him not getting a no.1, probably has a better bet for best newcomer/breakthough.

because I think Justin's was out before last years ceremony, even though it hadn't taken off then. I also remember reading Robbie's album wasn't elidgable because it was released at the wrong time.
I would think Jamie Cullum is in with a good chance at best male as well.
Hopefully Blue will not be honoured this year. Will should be best Pop Act really.

I would have thought it would only matter with "best album" type awards, because artists can do other stuff like have successful tours, and like Robbie, release live albums and DVDs. But I don't know, but it would seem unfair to me if that wasn't the case.

Well, like I say Dido will probably walk it, and Rachel has an outside chance only, with IMO the others having even less of a chance.
Surpised too, that Emma Bunton didn't get into the females either, she had a quite a big seller this year. Seems like they are trying to plug new artists instead, like Amy Winehouse (Errrr, so who is she?
). Or maybe they didn't want to favour BMG/19 too much with Rachel being in there.

Well, bizarrely, according to everyhit.com, Amy Winehouse hasnt had a single OR album in the charts (although she does have an album out and a professional looking website, so she can't be a total nobody).
If I didn't know better, I'd suspect some plank, somewhere down the line, had mixed her up with Amy Studt, but then again, she's with 19 too, which might explain her absence, and I guess she might be in the best newcomer cat instead.
Jamie Cullum makes jazz music I believe, I've heard he's a talented lad.

i'd love for will to walk away with the brit for best male, but i think that daniel is going to be his main rival. dan has had a good year. hes sold over a million albums (but thats since 2002 though isnt it? it was rereleased in 03 but i dont know if all the sales count together ). hes had 6 singles off the album, 3 of them number 1's - gotta get thru this, if youre not the one and never going to leave your side. the others havent done badly (except friday which just scraped into the top 20 - think his 6th release was pushing it a bit). and hes done 2 successful theatre tours. but i want will to win it, the sheer amount of crap hes had thrown at him over the whole reality tele stuff, and to come back with a very successful album and single should be recognised.

The album SEEMS to be doing well too? SEEMS? I think you will find that it is doing well - over 900,000 copies in less than six weeks.
I don't know how these nominations are made, but how the hell can Rachel Stevens be nominated for Best Female? That's ridiculous and, as far as I'm concerned, invalidates the whole thing.
She doesn't sing live. She doesn't write her own songs. Best performing monkey maybe. The only thing in her favour is that 'Loaded' readers think she's tasty!

Best female is definately a weak catagory, apart from Dido. Rachel has only had one big hit, but it was a No.1 and one of the biggest sellers of the year, but doesnt do "the live thing", Jamilla is a good singer, but again only one big hit. No one can really challenge Dido
Best Female is ultra weak, year after year.........Michelle Gayle, Louise, Billie Piper and Geri Halliwell have all been nominated within the last five years for example. What a joke.
Rachel S's nomination will be part of the 'Simon Fuller/ITV' deal-it would have been either Rachel or Annie Lennox or Amy Studt there IMO, all Fuller acts.
