Well, I've spotted a few musical "clones" lately (deliberate or accidental, I couldn't possibly comment ).

Blazin squad, with Flip Reverse It, are sounding uncannily like Nelly and the Neptunes.

Kylie's Red Blooded Woman sounds like Destiny Child's Survivor

The awful Phixx and their song sounded a bit like Prefab Sprout's King Of Rock N Roll.

And PI.Michelle's (I've decided to be nerdy and am using object notation to refer someone who you associate with something. You never know, it might catch on ) new single keeps reminding me of something in parts, but I don't know what.

Anyone else spotted any new songs that sound strangely familiar? Spill the beans on the tune cloners here

Michelles song reminds me a little of hearsay's pure and simple.
Don't care about clone songs as long as there are no more covers ! - but then as I don't tend to buy 'music of today' it doesn't bother me !

Liberty X - Thinking it over sounds like a speeded up version of Eternal's - Angel of mine.

A song I saw Kylie perform on telly from her new album sounds a bit like Liberty X's just a little.

Dannii Minogue's Don't Wanna Lose This Groove [or was it Feeling?]

Had the exact music and exact melody of Madonna's Get Into The Groove

[and sounded naff]

I think what you heard was the remixed version which added the'Into the Groove' sample into it.

One song that reminder me of another was 'Show me the way to your love' by Hearsay and 'That's the way love is' by Celine Dion

Part of the guitar backing to the Sugababes song, Shape sounds familiar - I swear it was used by Phil Collins/Craig David in his intro to one of his songs?

The Sugarbabes song SHAPE is the same song as the Stings Shape of my heart ~(well i know that it's the same tune not sure about the words)

Craig David and Sting dis another version of the saong (to which Craig david changed the words) which was released called Rise and Fall

I read somewhere that that's deliberate, supposed to be a Salt N Pepper sample in it somewhere too, its been done "above board".

Yeah, definately, I think that's what it was reminding me of, its a kinda slowed down poorer version (I thought Pure and Simple was quite a good pop tune, not that I bought it or anything ). Any bets it's the same producer.

Believe it or not I read that Blazing Sqaud as much as I despise them, actually wrote "Work it" before Nelly and Justins "Work it" even though they sound similar.

there's a piano bit right at the end of one of the song's on dido's new album - i think its *stoned* that sounds like its lifted from somewhere.

and another track on the album has a part in it which reminds me of a track from the the's *infected* (or it ight be *soul mining*) bit vague on that one tho'.

and slightly off topic, but isn't the main *something exciting is happening now* bit from the LOTR score the same as the one from the Back to the Future films?
