13 today and will probably be his last unfortunately.

He's gorgoeus - many Happy returns to him!!! But what's what's the negativity?? Is he is poor health?

back legs started to go 3 months ago
he still likes going for a walk but a normally 10 minute walk now takes half an hour.
he's in pretty good health otherwise so hopefull he may still be around next year

Owww - that's a shame but as long as he is still getting about!!

Have you tried Cortaflex. I've seen good reports about it helping with joint/arthritic problems.

I've been saying "This will be his last" about ours for 4 years now.Hes 15 and still going strong.Stinks like a bin,wee's all over and doesn't realise,totally deaf and often the cats punchbag

My own hound is 15 as well and has arthritis in his hips so he's slowed right down as well. He's been prescribed Previcox for the past year, one tablet a day, and he's doing really well on it - he's never going to be as active has he was when he was younger but he's going nowhere just yet.

My Border Collie lived several years with dodgy back legs, (I used to put a couple of drops of cider vinager into a water) Hopefully there will be a few more years in the old dog yet xx

I've got a mate who races greyhounds and he swears by Glucosamine for a couple of his old dogs.He buys it in powder form and sprinkles it onto their food.
