At last new stuff
Well it's been a while since I used my Vision box for anything other than recording stuff.
Over the last week though, I have been catching up on Chuck on Warner TV, and looking on the guide, noticed at last that the BBC selection has been increased, Dr Who series 3 for example (it could have been there for months), and new content coming from CBS. The HD content is very disappointing though. Which is why I've been using my Sky+ HD box. I was considering ceasing my Vison TV package when my contract runs out in September, but, I realised last night how useful the On Demand stuff on Vision is and how much I have missed using my Vision box. Watching Chuck without the ads for example is worth the money. Are you all still finding BT Vision worthwhile, or do you feel that BT have let themselves down? |

The now fabled software update has failed to appear once again. Apparently it has some issues which needed addressing which is fair enough I suppose. I just want extra functionality and the new recording contention flexibility thats been promised. Now, onto the good stuff. BTVision is all about VOD. Watching content without the ads is simply a godsend. More often than not programmes that I have missed are on replay and even the ITV , C4 & Five replay content does not have ads !!. My VOD hasnt missed a beat in years and looks just fine upscaled to 1080i by the vision box via HDMI on a 40" LCD. The PVR simply does what I ask it to do. Supposedly there's a vbox 2 due out this year and thats all we know so far - I just hope it has DVB-T2 and if it doesnt then thats a major issue for BT in my opinion. |

Whilst BT Vision may not be the greatest thing since sliced bread at least it doesn't kick seven bells out of the allowance provided by ISP's for downloads etc, seeing as vision is deemed seperate.

Well, there's various things that I'm not happy with. The HD content is appalling, I'm really only interested in HD films so I'll just stick with my Lovefilm bluray rentals for now. So anyone currently considering BTVision just for HD content - forget it.
