I've watching Series 2 in build up to it so if I can watch Exit Wounds *sob sob* on Sunday Night I can go straight into Series 3 on Monday

The 'countdown' surely started with the first R4 Torchwood play yesterday, or did you forget?

Mrs Sniffle just turned over to Eastenders *sigh* and I caught the tail end of a TW trailer..all the ones so far I have seen on the PC so to see one on the big screen fair made me tingle..

Saw the trailer at that time to - looks really good!

Love the little bits during the idents where the screen/sound goes funny (that is a Torchwood thing right?? Not just my TV??).

Not seen that yet, but they did the same to the BBC2 idents for season 2. Yep, it's a Torchwood promo.

As I've been tied up with the DVDs I haven't seen the promos so I will be going in with fresh eyes So can't wait!!! I have downloaded the plays but not heard them yet, got a feeling I will need a TW fix after Friday so will do them then.

I hope they air the Gwen trailer at some point, to attract who fans, who've never seen Torchwood, at the mention of the Doctor.

As much as I love the current ones (especially the ident thing, I squeed SO much at that) they REALLY need to push this if it is to get the big ratings that event tv deserves.

Also according to D.S.'s clues:

Spoiler

Owen and Tosh make appearances. I'm guessing by flashback

It's another series of TW, a lot of people are forgetting that and are comparing it to the DW specials.

If your referring to me, I'm fully aware of that. I just have high hopes for this series and for me, the campaign so far doesn't scream event television just yet. The Aus trailer did but as much as I love the UK ones, they don't. They just feel new series or (if your not aware of Torchwood) new show.

If it wasn't for the radio times spread and press office releases, I don't think from the BBC trailers I've seen so far (and the amount of times I've seen them, despite watching BBC most during primetime) that I'd make an effort to miss my exsisting shows for it was I not a fan.

Btw is it me or does the face seen at 00:18 in this trailer:

Look a tad like the late Michael Jackson?

Ah, I see, thanks for that.

Really hope they use the Gwen trailer over here to, think it's really good - very eerie and love the music in it.

The TV critic for The Times has seen the first 3 episodes and says they are very good.

My only worry is that it means the other 2 are very bad

Episodes 4 and 5 haven't been given out to the media for spoiler reasons.

Rest assured, it doesn't mean they're bad.

So far all the word in the press appears to have been glowing.

The Daily Record is full of praise in their piece on it too...

"Anyone sceptical about the ability of Doctor Who reviver Russell T. Davies to make spin-off Torchwood equally compelling had best just admit they were wrong and clear their diaries for five nights.

"This new Torchwood adventure... sees Captain Jack and his team in brilliant form and promoted to BBC1.

"The drama racks up the tension better than anything we've seen since 24, building into a sheer tour de force, a sensational TV event that will keep you on edge, night after night.

"Spine-tinglingly creepy one minute, sexy or amusingly sarcastic the next, this is a story that lead writer Russell says he has wanted to do for a long time..."

Could the Record be anymore forthright in its praise?

I'm really, really, really looking forward to this.

Im gutted as my Sky signal is currently blocked by scaffolding. It has been for ten days now and no sign of it comimg down. i was really looking forward to seeing Torchwood in HD but now have to watch through terrestrial as we cant get freeview in my region. I am almost tempted to wait for the BLu Ray the week after and see it then.

Judging by some the of the feedback we have read already is this the version of Torchwood I have so hoped for ? It looks like it.. The last two series so far have been a little hit and miss for my liking so he is hoping this raises the bar a notch or five
