What do people think of this song? It sounds very like something else is it a cover version?

By the way for anyone that's interested, her entire album (I'll be there) is a throwback to the 60's. It's very different but I just don't think people are that interested in Emma Bunton to care...

I haven't noticed that it sounds like anything else

I like the fact that her and whoever shes working are trying to create a fairly distinguishable sound. You could knock it for trying to sound and look 60's, but most of the Britpop sound of the 90's was retro. Although Emma's stuff is all the more deliberate. It's something that might enable her to stick around if there is a pop rout this year.

And unlike the arguably the rest of the Spice girls, she can actually sing! Live too! I kinda like Emma, hope she sticks around.

P.S. I half suspect she's fishing to be the leading lady in a future Austin Powers movie, not only adopting the 60s look, but also conviently turning up in an acting role on Ad Fab. You watching Mike?

Mel C can sing and Victoria and Geri aren't that bad. Was there another Spice Girl I can't remember?

Well, Mel C is a kinda ok singer, but she shouts a bit, and to me doesnt compare to Emmas much more pleasant voice. Mel C would maybe make the final 50 of Pop Idol, but not much further . As for Geri, god, I think her vocal abilities are dire.

Errrr, I dunno, who was that other one? Come on ye b**tards, fo*king tell me!!! Girl power, and all that sh*te!

Actually there were another two.
As I have mentioned before Emma B's voice really bugs me it is so weak it is untrue, everytime I hear her on TV (thankfully) it is barely audible, if she were to appear on pop idol I don't think she would make the final 50. I saw them on TOTP2 last week I really forgot how bad they actually were, they should thank God every day for making millions for having next to no talent. Girl Power? my arse. invented by men, to appeal to men, with songs written by men.

Well there are other ways of singing, apart from belting it out at full volume. Yeah, she couldn't do much without a mic, but so what, it's pop, not opera.

Hence the "and all that sh*te". Everyone knows Girl Power was aload of b*ll*cks, worked though.

I like this song and the video is lovely too. I like Emma's little 60's vibe. One of the songs on her upcoming album is called 'Crickets Singing For Anna-Maria' which sounds pretty bonkers!

Now im no Pop fanatic, but I really like this song, Emma B seems like a breath of fresh air to the ailing pop industry, her song "Maybe" was a very good retro song and certainly got my feet tapping!

Her voice is weak but she is pleasant to watch and these recent 60s songs are extremely catchy!

Also, as I noticed on TOTP on Friday, although she is by no means fat, she has a nice curvy figure and looks very healthy. Not a stick insect like lots of the pop stars around. Its really refreshing.

I have the promo album of I'll be ther and yes Crickets for Anna Maria is a trange but good song.

I think if it was released it would be huge but not god for her image. Anyway Emma's never really been concerned about what the press and critics think of her. Other strong tracks from the album are Breathing, Who the hell are you?, Something so beautiful and You are.

Any one of those 5 songs could be a single.

Other news I have picked up from the offical Emma Bunton website is that "I'll be there" is released on the 26th of January and the Album "free me" i think it is to be called will be released the following week.

Please do not be sceptical of this album, it really is a breath of fresh air and makes you forget about all the crap in the charts at the moment.
