According to the Sun after Mel C was dropped from her record label/

They are discussing whether to do another single to promote it.

Well pop seems to have disappeared from the US, and seems to be fading here too, for the time being, so you'd think they'd be better off leaving it a year or two. Still, I suppose they could to a Petshop boys/Michael Jackson, and release a new greatest album every 2 years Still, most them are about to hit 30, can't afford to wait too long

Sounds like a fairly half hearted effort to boost their bank balances alittle bit more

Isn't the "s" at the end of "Hits" supposed to be before the "h" ?

LOL
It's really disgraceful of mel c. She said there would be no come back of Spice Girls before she was dropped. She was criticising other spice girls as well. Now, she wants to reunite with them? It's just not nice I think.

Well it was The Sun that came up with the story, so take it with at least an even pinch of salt. I have my doubts about it to be honest, so soon after she got dropped? I'm sure she'd like get get away from the music industry for at least a couple of months, not talk about new music deals.

Actually I wouldnt wave goodbye to Mel C just yet, she's already started on her third album and plans to start her own label and release her own music.

Emma and Victoria seem to be doing well.

Geri is releasing a third album this year.

All we need now is Mel B to come back from the dead.

They were never my cup of tea but they did something very few British Bands ever do and that was conqueror the world so I say good luck to them.

As for Mel C well I hear a lot of people were hoping that her music didn't do well because there was talk of the girls getting back together for a one off (she didn't believe it was right) so I guess a lot of people in the industry was very glad her singles didn't do very well. If the industry wanted her music to be a big a seller it would have been (at the end of the day it is them who chooses the top 10 not the buyers), l am not too fussy on her music, I think she has got a good voice but she needs better songs to sing or a good producer/manager to advice her. Having said that I don't think her records are not that great but I think they are better than the rubbish Victoria Beckham puts out. I would rather Mel C who does have some talent be in the top 10 than Victoria. If pushed or helped in the right direction Mel C could get better, become more talented there is no doubt she has got potential but also America knows her from the Spice Grils so she could become one of the few Brits that can sell in this country and in the States. If I was her I would produce my records in the States, I think they would know better how to use the talent she has and because she was in a band that is recognised she may not have any problem making it big their. If she suceeds in the States then she would be better then selling the songs back in to the UK. Similar to Dido. Make it big in the States then over here.

It is strange though when one thinks Mel C's music didn't sell that well but I believe her tours have.

I thought Northern Star did really well. Certainly, every one I knew had a copy and it received great reciews. Admittedly her last album wasn't too good.

If she could get another collaboration with an American artist on her next album like when she had Lisa Lopez it'll help no end.

Isn't it just the record company wanting to release Greatest Hits? As they're all with different record companies maybe they had no say in it anyway? Daresay they'd like the money though!! And it would sell well - greatest hit compilations are good value I have loads.

Probably would buy it too. It was just pure pop and they hit a time when there was no-one else like them, of course they went the same way all other pop acts do but they were fun. As soon as they try to get serious about it, people lose interest.

They were huge at the time, whether you liked or loathed them, you can't deny their huge success.

It will be a very short album I tell you that

1 - Two Become One

er..... anything else ?

Well that;s my personal opinion - they were good at the time as someone else said - maybe a little past it now, especially as they have all branched off into soloists and now have slighty different images

Wannabe
Say You'll Be There
2 Become 1
Mama
Who Do You Think You Are
Spice Up Your Life
Too Much
Stop
Viva Forever
Goodbye
Holler
Let Love Lead The Way

and as bonus tracks you could always have the Pepsi songs:
Step To Me
Generation Next

These girls were huge. There's no denying it so why fight it?

Really??? I thought out of all the solo Spice Girls, Mel C had the best voice and the best songs.

Virgin Records all gave the Spice Girls solo deals, except Geri. So far Virgin have dropped Mel B, Victoria and now Mel C. Next Victoria's new record label will drop her (cos she's crap and can't sing) then it will be Geri, cos her last stuff sold badly, and sadly now Emma's pop career is beginning to flop!

The Spice Girls are dropping like flies! :

No, but neither were the Pepsi songs (with the exception of being album tracks or free when you collected ringpulls/bottle tops - but that doesn't count ).

How is that her last couple of songs got high in the charts and the newest one is quite good. The new album is coming out soon so we'll have to wait until we see how that does, Ive heard the album it is very good.

I'm surprised they haven't done it long since.

I wonder which song they will miss out? After all, many Greatest Hits CDs have one missing song, don't they.

Did anyone else think it was so cute how the audience sang 2 Become 1 with Emma at the Christmas in Popworld concert?

Even after all this time there is still a good feeling about their music.

I think they should release a Greatest Hits CD and DVD

The spice girls actually had great pop songs they never releases liked ''never give up on the good times'' and ''love thing''. These songs really should be on where there much better than ''holler'' and ''let love lead the way''.

Nah, Holler is their best song. I made a compilation of their videos yesterday and holler is the best song and the second best video (the greatest being Spice up your life).

I do like Never give up on the good times, it should have been released instead of Stop or Too Much, I am not too keen on those songs.

As for the third album I really can't think of another song on it that could have been a single (maybe Get down with me), it just wasn't that good.
