Spoiler: ****** to appear in final specials
Doctor Why
03-07-2009
Been reliably informed today that the

Spoiler
Daleks

will be appearing in Tennant's final two episodes. To what capacity I don't know, but they are definitely "different" to most of the ones we've seen so far in the new series. They are not the big bad though, certainly not. They do serve a long awaited purpose though.....

ooooh somebody else is awake!!
hello!
Partly not surprised....RTD does love a big finale and I reckon he'll pull out all the bells and whistles for his and DT's last one.

How did you hear this?

You don't post on the Gallifrey Base forums do you - are you the same person who reported yesterday that a friend had worked as an extra in a scene with
Spoiler
Daleks
back in March, which is the first I had heard of this.

We can know nothing for sure because of RTD's talk of Dream sequences and layers of fantasy in 4-17 4-18 ..
Spoiler

If Ten were to bring back the timelords we probably might see the Daleks as he returns to the timewar though .. and to be honest I think thats the only way viewers would want their return ..

So many have posted they want the Daleks rested for at least a few years -just can't see RTD bringing them back unless it's for the timewar or a dream sequence cameo .. One thing I hope is we're not returning to Journey's end because so many have predicted that and i'd hope RTD was wanting the unexpected ..

Of course we had

Spoiler
Daleks, Cybermen and more

in "The War Games" so it's not a big deal.

I pray to Little Baby Jesus and all that is sacred that
Spoiler
the Daleks
have as major a role in the upcoming Tennant stuff as they did in The War Games. Or even The Mind of Evil.

Just five months (ish) to go til David Tennant's "Chirpy Mockney Git" performance is gone for good ...

I wouldn't bother doing that, according to his little story book his da created the earth and that was it, so according to that, there'd be no point in visiting other worlds and there'd be no other races to visit. Or Time Lords. And the universe would only be 6000 years old, so no dinosaurs or anything, just us puny humans and a snake and shit.

A couple of months of the floppy-haired teenage Twilight-reject and you'll be begging for him back.

He had me won over when I saw this deleted scene from the movie "In Bruges".
Warning not for the squeamish but it always makes me laugh thanks to the cartoon violence. SOme bad language too in case you're in work.

Yeah, because your name's Steven Moffat and you actually do know that for a fact.

Look, if you're going to be rude, then don't say anything at all.

I wasn't presenting it as a fact anyway. "A few years yet" is just my educated guess. Does it really matter anyway? I've posted what I've been told, take it or leave it.

out of interest why is that spoiler tagged. This forum is hardly readable at time with spoiler tags.

On topic I've heard Tennant starts to die at the start of special 1 and doesn't regen until 2. That leaves a lot of room for flashbacks and nightmares of past enenmies and possibly returning one too......

I have a feeling with all the rumours doing the round and RTD saying all is not what it seems.....there will be a lot of flasbacks....or at least mind games......where such creatures may make an appearance......

As the Chirpy Mockney Git of a Doctor would say "Oi!!!!!!"

Can't wait to see War Games.....although I know what happens!!!!!

I'd thought you'd be glad StCoop that DT was going....I mean after all, the moment DT leaves.....so will us fangirls.....apparently.....

Some spoiler. Just a flipping rumour!

It's possible that they are in the finale, as a flashback/dream sequence or more solidly. There's also the rumours of their appearance in MS's first eps so who knows. If they're really in the finale in a substantial way it would seem unlikely that they're going to br in the opener of season 5.

Still, stranger things have happened.

As in, my name is Rose Tyler and this is the story of how I died?

Which coincidentally starts at 7 on Watch.
