Carnaptious Little Madam

We have 2 dogs (both dressed bitches).

The older one is nearly 5 years old (a heinz), the younger one a 2 year old labrador/springer cross.

When the older one takes a notion not to eat her food she'll guard it from the younger one but not eat. My wife put her hand out to the younger one to shoo her away from the other dog's bowl and she bit it.

Now there's no blood or anything, but that isn't the point, is there any training exercises/routines that we can do to dissuade her from doing this.

Apart from this morning she is a smashing dog, but she sure loves her food

Good luck with it, I know it can be a bit of a worry
