Series Link and Multiple CRID's

With the CRID test enabled I have noticed that the channel 142 (Bet HD) has multiple Series and Prog CRID's. Looking at todays between 6-8 PM we have the following:-

PROG CRID : www.bet.com/3530360
SERIES CRID : www.bet.com/3530318
PROG CRID : www.bet.com/3530360
SERIES CRID : www.bet.com/3530318
PROG CRID : www.bet.com/3530360
SERIES CRID : www.bet.com/3530318
PROG CRID : www.bet.com/3530360
SERIES CRID : www.bet.com/3530318

So although in this instance it is the same series and prog CRID data repeated does that imply that each EPG entry could be encoded with multiple series and CRID entries?

Richard,

I'm not sure what you are asking here, about the multiple Series & CRID entries, they all appear to be the same?

I presume that these are a set of different programmes? (I haven't got access to my HDR at the moment).

If they all have the same Series CRID & the same Prog CRID, then if you set a Series Recording from the first one, the HDR will see the subsequent ones as repeats and not record them. So you will be better setting each one as an Individual Instance recording.

Apologies if I have misunderstood your question.

Rgds.

I'm not interested in recording anything just noticed that the EPG has a single entry from 6 PM to 8 PM which the HDR displays as having 4 sets of CRID data which are all the same.

So it is either that there is only one set of data and the HDR is displaying it incorrectly

or

you can have multiple CRID entries per EPG entry and in this case BET has them all set the same?

Just curious.

Ah, I'd assumed that they must have been 4 half-hour programmes.

If you are saying it is one 2 hour prog, with with 4 sets of CRID data (although all the same), then I've never seen that. As I say, I can't check on mine at the moment.

I know we've talked about multiple hidden CRID data before, but I've not seen it confirmed by anyone in the know.

Rgds.

Yes thats correct - one 2 hour program with 4 sets of data visible.

Just noticed as well that the Bet Awards which are on from 8:00 to 11:30 (again one EPG entry) just has 4 prog CRID's (again all the same) as follows:-

PROG CRID: www.bet.com/3521733
PROG CRID: www.bet.com/3521733
PROG CRID: www.bet.com/3521733
PROG CRID: www.bet.com/3521733

Just noticed that they are no longer displaying the duplicate PROG and SERIES CRID's.

Still curious as to whether multiple differing CRID's per EPG entry is valid though?
