New Bands For 2004
These days, I'm finding chart music really bland and stale so I went looking for some new UK bands. I found these 6 which should get more exposure in 2004 as they release their debut albums:
Keane Razorlight Ambershades The Delays The Zutons 22-20s I've made the following web site where you can download an mp3 of each of these bands. I really recommend you have a listen if you haven't heard them yet: http://home.graffiti.net/gorky03:graffiti.net/ I like 'em. What do you think?

i know what you mean about new bands - used to be there were plenty, but these days they seem harder to come across. they must still be out there, and its probably down to getting older and not being a student any more...
anyway - snow patrol have a single out which sounds pretty good, if nothing startlingly new - has anyone heard the album? Iain |

A lot of people have been mentioning The Zutons I have to admit I don't really know much about them or have had a chance to listen to any of their records.

I started to quite like the Zutons, was a bit unsure at first but they have grown on me.
There are quite a few good bands that hopefully get some more airplay and recognition in 2004, such as Reuben, Jarcrew, Engerica, Jetplane Landing Nijos |

I saw the Zutons supporting The Thrills. They sounded a lot like The Coral with a Saxophone. Not sure I really liked them that much.
As for Snow Patrol, they are on their third album now, so not exactly new. BUT Final Straw was my album of last year. Absolutely fantastic. The single 'Run' is out next week. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. or watch the video then buy it http://mcms-delivery.virtuebroadcast...C-022E286567BD |

The Von Bondies and Franz Ferdinand seem to be getting a lot of attention too. Both have albums out in February.

Yeah, my list is only new bands who haven't had an album out yet (but should do soon). I deliberately left Franz Ferdinand out because they're getting lots of publicity at the moment.
Keane are very hotly tipped and I like the lead singer's voice. Very Thom Yorke-sque. Razorlight sound like The Libertines and The Zutons really are like The Coral (another quirky Liverpool band). Ambershades could be a really good find but I need to hear more before I'll know for sure.
