Rumour has it that Joe Calzaghe (apologies if spelling wrong) is a contestant in this year's SCD.

If that's true, I'll have to watch it this time round.

I heard it from a pretty reliable source, but you can never be 100% sure until the show actually starts - which is why I said it is rumoured!

Heard that rumour a while ago, but it was denied. You never know, though

If true, then you'd hope that, as an ex boxer, he'd be light and quick on his feet.

If he wasn't light on his feet he'd have been on his ass most of the time Great fighter with a great record. The only problem he might have is with his muscle bulk, but I doubt there'd be many complaints from the audience tbh

I'd love to see him on the show

Recent 'Rumour' came straight from the horses-mouth! (Not to me, but to someone I know who knows him well!)

If I remember rightly, they've had a couple of boxers on Dance with the Stars, and neither have been very good - very clumsy!

What about Laila Ali? I thought she struggled a little bit with her build at times but she certainly did well.

If it's true I think he'd be one of the ones to watch, although you can't always tell. As such would expect to see him with someone who has not featured heavily in the last series or two, like Karen. I'd say after Gary and Brian she deserves a break!

He could be good - light on his feet and used to self discipline - and a genuinely nice guy (not bad at all to look at either)!

I'd quite like to see him taking part, seen him interviewed a few times and he always comes across well.

Ah well, at least as Buddy says, he'll be quite nice to look at.

I agree and also admire your determined campaign to get Erin a decent partner, especially how quick you were to discount the possibility of her partnering Mr Madeley on the other thread. Love it

Erin was mugged in the quarter finals last year- she and Austin were wrongly evicted to keep Lisa and Brendan- and of course Lisa was not a threat in the public poll was she

I personally would feel sorry for any lady pro who got Madeley

I would really love to see him take part. Not a big boxing fan but I do have a bit of a thing for Mr Calzaghe .

And actually I could see him with Erin, I'm not a huge Erin fan but I'd love them partnered up.

I totally agree the Pro who gets him, the poor soul I hope Erin doesn't get him but as she had a good partner last year it may be her turn to get a duffer

Well Brendan seems to be regualrly indulged with celebs the judges tend to love watching

If anyone is due a duffer it is surely Brendan

I agree!

I watched his showdance again today (had a trip down memory lane on YT this morning!) and his ego needs to be brought down to earth big time!

***ducks bricks that are coming her way***
