Try going to a Currys Superstore and asking the technichian - I'm sure he will have tuned thousands of them in!

If you have a genuine remote (rather than a universal) AND it's simaler to the Matsui 14V1T which i have

Select a channel other than AV/0
Press PC*AUX, press PC*AUX and hold it for a number of seconds until the tuneing thing appears.

Press OK for the Autotune.

For the manual tune select channel 1 (or whatever to change)
Press I
Press OK
Highlight the "B" option using vol+/vol-
Select UHF using ch+/ch-
Move right until TUNE is highlighted
Press OK
Use Vol+/Vol- until the channel you want is tuned
press i
move to DEC and select OFF
move to S and press OK
repeat for all the channels.

To swap positions find the video you want by using P+/P- on the tuning menu while PR is highlighted, then key the correct number - pressing OK swaps the current signal and the one on the number you typed.

Hope this is of some use!

14V1T is teletext version of 14V1R so their setups will be the same.

Damn...

I dont have the original remote, so I bought a replacement which was supposed to be exactly the same as the Matsui one (Matsui wanted £80 for one - more than the telly cost!)

The suggestions for tuning dont work using the remote I have, when I press "i" I just get "i - > ok" and no tuning menu :0(

Any more idaes gratefully recieved, or if anyone has a genuime remote I can borrow for an hour, I'll gladly pay postage and buy you a drink!

Please contact me direct:
andymacmacmac@hotmail.com

Thanks

You need to find what the OK button is - keep trying the other buttons.

For the photos i did i used a Connect-IT ER440 from £-Stretcher (its a few years old)

If you press text, when the text disppears apart from a small logo in the top left you've found OK

Hi,
I have also lost my original remote and need to re-tune the portable tv.

Can a one for all remote be used to simulate the tuning button (I think its the i key)?

Or is there any way to do it?

With the 14V1T then a "One For All" remote can be used.

Press Menu, then Mute, and then use the Volume/Channel buttons as normal.

If you need the PCAUX button (Autotuning) then you will have to do some KeyMagic stuff, if you want i can dig the codes out.

Hi,
Many thanks for the info - if you could dig out the code, I would be most grateful.

Cheers

Device Code was 0195

The Key Magic codes were

303 PC*AUX
350 Settings Menu (Usually Accessed by holding I when turning on)
346 I
270 OK

To use these read the manual, or for one off use press magic then key the code (e.g. Magic-3-0-3)
