Probably just ITV screwing up. They have a long and glorious history of not setting HD flags properly.

ITV aren't great with Kingdom, but last night was OK.

Mine recorded from 21:02 - 22:05. It started right on the button at the Sponsor's Advert, but continued after the credits with 3 mins of the ITV HD Unavailable screen. Looks like ITV have reacted to all our complaints of cutting off the end by adding their own padding

Mine was set by Series Link, and I use AR.

Not sure why the OP's didn't record, unless there was an unnoticed clash, say with Hope Springs slightly overrunning, + ANO ??

Rgds.

I have never seen the end of Kingdom in this present series, once again it cut of before the end on Sunday, I thought for next weeks episode I could record it in SD and HD and maybe catch the ending on the SD version... but nope the HDR won't let you.

You may have fallen victim to the Freesat update on Sunday which removed the BET HD channel. Any Freesat update will unfortunately remove ITV HD scheduled recordings. There is a thread here ...........

No trouble here Kingdom OK in HD version except that a bit of the start was missing, prog length 63 minutes. Sorry what should Hope Springs have to do with it, if on dual cable? Was OP also recording something else then?

HS too recorded OK, although the 'i' blurb says it was from 20:15 to 21:00.

Both were series linked AR.

The problem arises from the fact that it's not possible to tune BBC HD ITV1 SD and ITV HD at the same time as they are all on different transponders. So if the BBC HD recording is under way and the second tuner is on 103 then the hdr sees a clash (it has to ditch ITV SD to tune ITV HD). If you happen to be watching a clash message appears on the screen (causing instant panic ), however the default action is to ditch ITV SD for the HD recording and all is well.

Hi,

I recorded Hope Springs, Kingdom in HD on 103 and Kingdom in SD on 977 ITV london, just incase the end did not record.

All recorded ok.

I'm doing the same with the Bill this week as they cocked up the HD recording last week so I missed an episode.

Do you have padding added as this is what I think ruined my previous recordings of Kingdom.

Try taking the padding off for next week.

Same here, including this week. I've got so annoyed at missing the endings I've now deleted it out of the schedule. It was a "nice to have" rather than essential viewing as it was.

I'm struggling to find anything good to say about ITV these days.

That's very strange as mine has around 2 mins of the not available caption on the end. Have you changed the on and off times to other than auto, if so that's likely why you lost the end. Padding does not work on ITV HD and they now seem to be giving us 2 min padding in the AR codes.

I hadn't padded it as it drops into SD but I tried to record the SD and HD from the same region and have now realised I need to record the SD from a different region and then just pad that to get the ending (I think)

Don't put padding on it leave it on auto and you will get the ending.

That's probably the problem, as I have padding switched on for all recordings. I'm not going to turn that off just for Kingdom (there's nothing else on ITV HD that I record at the moment), so they're going to stay a viewer down. I've got better things to do than mess around with my set up just to compensate for ITV's piss poor track record in getting their HD "channel" right.
