I prefer Domino's takeaway but if it's Pizza Hut then i prefer the restaurant rather than the takeaway.

I love Domino's Americano

I prefer a local takeaway or homemade. £11 for a standard sized pizza

The last time I got a pizza from either was when I got a 2-4-1 dominos offer through the door and went halfs with my sister. I can't say it was anything special as pizzas go.

Pizza King! BOGOF Thursdays!

Even the local Kababies are doing pizza fests for the price of a dominos. 2 large pizzas, 2 chips, garlic bread and a bottle of coke!

But in the Domino's/Pizza Hut debate, it's Domino's for me!

AAH ok i was thinking i've never heard of Pizza King before

Is it true that a lot of pizza places don't make freshly made dough and it's been frozen etc.?

I was told that Domino's make it from fresh.

I prefer Pizza Hut, although it is bloody expensive.

Dominos.

Texas BBQ chicken is the best!

I used to love pizza huts stuffed crust but then we decided to get dominos (double decadence) and we have got that every time we order pizza.

Last week however we decided to go for a pizza hut and I have to say I was sorely disappointed in the quality.

It was chewy (like it had not been cooked long enough) and I felt all the toppings were just chucked on.

So after that long explanation I would go for a thin base ham and pineapple or texas bbq chicken both from dominios.

I've made this comment on previous pizza threads but these days, at least around here, about 90% of the accesible takeaways (local to me or in town centre) use the conveyor belt ovens.
To me it seems that wherever you get your pizza from it is pretty much similar to the other places. I assume that they do it because it's less hassle for them. They just stick the pizza on and leave it until it comes out the other side. No need to check if how cooked it is or checking to see if the base is crisp or forgetting about it all together.

There are a couple of good places in town that still use the old pizza ovens and they come out much better. Crispy bottoms

I would love to find a place with a wood burning oven but I guess that's too much to ask for in a small town.

I think one of the Italian restaurants has one but they don't deliver or takeout and they are pretty expensive.

Dominos for me, I know its expensive but i love the flavour of the tomato sauce, and they always get the pepperoni just crispy enough.

Yeah most pizzas are definately just "thrown" together!!

You pay a fortune for these takeaways so where's the quality nowadays?!

Neither, Perfect Pizza all the way for me. The ingredients there taste like actual ingredients! And their potato skins are divine. I just wish the chains weren't so expensive.

There's also a Pizza Magic near me that does the most delicious tempura (sp?) vegetables.

Neither really, although Domino's if I had to pick. My local independent one is half the price of Domino's, plus they do a mixed doner pizza!

Dominos annoys me as they do not do chicken wings, and I LOVE chicken wings when I have pizza.

I prefer dominos pizza but pizza hut's extras

"home" made for me, I say "home", cause I buy a packet breadmix from the supermarket and make it up and add tomato ketchup base, and onions, mushrooms, cheese and bake... That's it and I personally think that's better than spending £10 plus on the chains

Between the two, it definitely has to be Dominoes Meteor. I tried a Pizza Hut one quite recently (I usually have Dominoes btw). Let's say it will be the first and last Pizza Hut pizza I will be getting. It was very bland and boring.

Pizza Hut.

I HATE cheese, but somehow they have turned their "Vegetable Supreme" (with a Pan base) into my favourite food!

If I had to choose I would say Dominos, just by a very slight bit!

I much prefer local shops too, much better taste and value. Like 2 x 16" for around £15!
