Oasis were great last night, really enjoyed the show! And Kasabian were good too, although I didn't know many of the songs.

We were standing next to a really odd person, which made the show a bit weird, but it was still really amazing! We didn't get our tickets until about Wednesday or Thursday either though, I think they just release tickets later and later recently.

You can't really go wrong with Oasis live....hit after hit after hit, they've got such a big back catalogue these days....the fans love them to death to the extent that the band don't even need to sing, the crowd do it for them (witness the 'Don't Look Back In Anger' encore)....

My only qualm was that, although I'm well aware of the reputation of some Oasis fans being a bit lairy, that doesn't excuse pissi*ng in empty pint pots and launching them into the crowd. I'm no cossetted cream puff, you expect a bit of argy-bargy at gigs, but that sort of Neanderthal behaviour is repugnant.”

Totally agree !!! i went on Saturday (was right up near the front ) so had a brilliant view.
But it was sad how a few fans felt the need to p*ss in the cups and chuck it luckily none landed on me...i only got drenched in beer and rain

The Enemy called off sick again, i was disappointed as i was looking forward to seeing them.
Reverend and the Makers were pretty good, enjoyed their set.

But being a massive Kasabian fan i was blown away by their set (Underdog, Club Foot, Fire, in fact all the songs were just brilliant!) but thoroughly enjoyed Oasis too..both Liam and Noel sounded good and the whole Stadium singing "Don't Look Back in Anger" with Noel just singing a line or two here and there was just totally brilliant !

A big thumbs up from me !

^ Out of interest, what time did you start queuing to get a good spot down the front? The doors opened at 3:30 I think?

Went last nite, Oasis were phenominal as always and Kasabian were good too.

Shame about the behaviour of some fans re the beer and piss throwing.

I got hit with a lot of cold liquids so I can only imagine it was beer, it doesnt bare to think about it being anything else.

But all in all it was a great night. Oasis were on top form and were really up for it and the accoustic performance of Whatever was such a treat.

'Whatever' last night was absolutely amazing and made all the unwanted beer and piss raining down on us just about worth it.

A bloke a couple of rows up from us [we were seated - fab seats right at the front] had fallen alseep by the time Oasis came on. Someone prodded him and woke him up half way through their set, and he appeared to be completely oblivious to where he was, then nodded off again! What's the point in getting so pissed at a gig that you miss it or don't know you are at it.

Oasis were awesome. Kasabian won me over this time. The Enemy were fab and I'm downloading some Reverend and the Makers as I type

Shame about the price of the burgers!

Saturday night was amazing, as a first time Oasis gigy I'm not sure I know what possessed me to get standing tickets. We got there at half 5 just as reverand and the makers were coming on, there was loads of space and we were quite close to the barrier around the golden circle, Reverend were good. It was filling up nicely and by the Time Kasabian came up it was wall to wall with pissed up late 20's. A massive mosh pit opened up behind us, which I found funny initially.
Plenty of beer throwing going on at this stage, which again I found funny if not a little crazy at £4 a pint to waste it. Kasabian were awsome, we all bounced along.
Then the break, loads in fromt of us left for the bar and we found ourselves lovely and close, I could see! and I'm only 5'1!!!
The first few songs caused some massive moshing I was getting knocked all over. The security were really good and kept asking me for a thumbs up every time they passed me! We were getting passed out water. I got a cup full of piss land on my shoulder, by a stroke of luck got passed a cup of water straight after which ended up going all over my head and rinsing off the piss
Despite all this I thought it was amazing, Slideaway was my highlight.
Would I go again.................probably not!

Oh I could point some people from another forum towards this comment and you would see the flames rise!

Der lads have been playing sell-out gigs of their own in-between out-rocking oasis at the stadium gigs.

Yeah they are indeed suited to smaller venues, cos its not karaoke-sing-and-throw-urine-along manc rock (I like oasis by the way!), its an ass-kicking, body-rocking , bowel-moving, venue-filling masterclass!

They're doing the indoor arenas in november. My advice is to scab a ticket for the brixton gigs at the end of this week, cos they will be phenomenal!!!

Kasabian were really good I thought, a good warm up before the main band

I had heard about some people pissing into their cups and I hope none landed on me! Any that did was sticky/smelt sweet so I hope it was beer

Thank-you! I loved that performance.

We had a guy next to us who kept taking pictures of us. Like...legs, chests, everything. :\ He also did it a few times to the boys in front, but mostly us. Was odd.

Don't Look Back In Anger was great, I think, and I love Songbird atm too!

We got there around 3.30 jsut after gates opened and met up with some friends who already had the wrist bands for the circle. When we went down to ask for some ourselves it looked like they were all gone . Then one of my mates went and spoke to one of the guys on security and blagged us 4 wristbands so we got in ! Just pure luck really and a nice security guard !

Apparently it is first come, first served. and they allow for 2000 in the Circle so as soon as gates open i guess you run like hell down to the front and hope you get one.

Excellent! I was half-anticipating you saying you'd queued since dawn or something ridiculous like that lol....so to not make any special provision to do so and still get down the front is pretty good going....

Must admit ten years ago I'd have been inclined to do the same....these days there's no way I could spend seven hours plus cramped in like sardines without needing a wee....

....and of course if you do come out to go to the toilet or get a drink you're not going to get your spot back.....on the whole these days I prefer to be able to come and go as I please....turning into a bit of an old git lol.....

That's what i was most worried about...being older myself i was dreading getting in and out for a tinkle lol. But i have to say everytime i needed to go, no problem at all (i don't mean my ability to pee here, i mean getting in and out )

I got straight out, then back in again without any problems at all got my place back everytime as i left all my friends there when i went) And there was loads of space, i was quite surprised myself at how much room there was.

They are limited to 2000 in that area which gives you plenty of room to move. I think it get more squashed right at the front, we were in the middle of the Circle so had a good view still and lots of room to dance/jig about !

I'm going to U2 in August and am in seats (good ones i hope for 85 quid) and am worried how good it will be compared to being in the pitch area.

Apologies for posting a link to my own video, but I loved this performance so, so, so much! The video is awful but the sound is great and the song is amazing! I'm actually in love with Songbird atm.

I took a video of Don't Look Back In Anger too, and it's so blurry you can hardly see anything. You can still hear it, but meh, it's not the same.

I want go see them again.

True, but not much consolation if you get sprayed by the one in fifty that isn't! I definitely saw a guy not 5 yards from me 'filling up'

I was quite far back during Oasis and managed to avoid being sprayed on - you'd think with the price of the beer people wouldnt waste it. Then again can you actually tell the difference between Carlsberg and wee?
