Just read on the BBC Autumn presspack that this years series is going to be the same length of time as last years. Assuming that the final will be on the Saturday before Xmas (19th Dec) then SCD 7 should start on the 19th Sep!

too many dead wood weeks of single sex to get through then. Thats why they lose to X-Factor. YOu need to start the show with a bang - not a bore!

Agree though that it is a very long season and the could loose viewers over it, but hey if Ian is getting through to the finals, I don't mind watching extra weeks...

I'm going mad but was it 16 celebs last year? I thought it was 14, that's crazy! Congrats, BBC, on wrecking you're most successful show in years. x

Last year's series was far too long. And it wasn't until the 5that week that all the remaining contestants joined up into one group.
If there's so many contestants the Beeb feels a need to divide them into two groups at the beginning, then by definition there's too many contestants!
The BBC needs to learn that less is more! The series should end before we get fed up with it!
